What's everyone doing for New Years Eve?!
I found a $10 skirt at F21 yesterday so hopefully I can work my magic and create an outfit out of it!

Sorry for the delay!

Playing with the new cam cam.
Moving is not fun.
Finding out your new place is the size of a tent, even more not fun.
So sorry i've been boring lately!
Kyle and I have been moving me into my new apartment these past few days!
And, oh my, it's a tight squeeze.
It will be a nice cozy little semester for me. But that's okay!

The best thing about moving is all the things you find!

I have no idea where that mask even came from? haha

When I got in on Tuesday me and Kyle finally had our Christmas.

I ripped into my presents before he could take a picture, whoopsie :]
He did good this year, I'll hafta post what he got me later!

Last night we decided to go out to dinner, we went to one of our favorite restaurants BJ's!
(Dont be a pervert)
Okay, so before I blab about how amazing the desserts are there let me just ask a question.
How come whenever Kyle and I go on a date, you know, just the 2 of us.
They insist on giving us a table for 10.
Does this happen to anyone else?!

I seriously had to shout in order for him to hear me.
But once I ordered my firefly sweet tea I was as happy as could be ;]
But anyways, this restaurant, BJ's, where you couldnt help but giggle when you heard the name.
They have they most amazing dessert! It's called a pizookie!
What is it?
ANY kind of cookie you want, with ice cream on top.
okay okay, big whoop.
no no no, a big, warm, ooey gooey deep dish cookie of your choice,
have 2 favorite kinds of cookies?
no problem, you can half and half it.
Me and Kyle always get half white chocolate macadamia nut and half oatmeal raison.
MMMMMMM, my mouths watering thinking about it.

So after we demolished our yummy dessert we decided to rent a movie cuz we were so exhausted from all the moving the past few days.

I like to pretend im the paparazzi sometimes.

I hope everyone had a WONDERFUL Christmas!
I know I did, it was so good seeing the whole family!
And....Tomorrow I finally get to see my loverboyy :]

What's everyone doing for New Years Eve?!
I still need to get myself an outfit!
I'm really loving backless mini dresses lately,
there's one dress I came across on pinterest and have been madly in love since I laid my eyes on it,
but have no earthly idea where it's from, so I'm trying to find her twin!
simply amazing.
Hope everyone's relaxing and enjoying the Holidays!

but something great did happen.
I finally found some red skinny jeans!
I've been searching for the longest time & ended up settling for some burgandy ones I found at TJ maxx.

I cant wait to wear them tomorrow & show yall.
I also dyed my hair today, & I'm lovin it.
It's a little darker with more of a red tint, so crazy how last Christmas I was completely blonde!
A lot changes in a year!

Oh, the Holidays

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

When I got home last week I walked into a house full of Christmas decorations.
My parents like to go a bit overboard, especially since my mom has an unhealthy obsession with snowmen.
BUT, It made me smile and feel all warm&fuzzy inside.
I love being home for the Holidays.

I had coffee for the 1st time in 6 days today, I will never betray you again, Folgers.
I hope everyone enjoyed my last recipe post!
I'm still new to this big ol blog world, so feel free to give advice, leave comments, or ask me any questions!

You'll be drooling by the end of this post...

Today I am going to share with yall one of my FAVORITE dessert recipes.
A snack that you'll want to make every day for the rest of your life.
Christmas morning breakfast balls.

Yes, I'm trying to fatten you up for the Holidays! Gotta stay warm people ;]
(even though it's a miserable 78 here in Texas, boo)

Oreo Balls

Ever since mister Kyle and I have been dating I have always made him "oreo balls" on his birthday and sometimes on holidays when im feeling generous ;]

I'm feeling generous this Christmas so I have decided to include some yummies along with his other gifts.
Wanna take a look at them to see if you're even interested?
I can help you with that...
moving on...

Here's what you'll need:
18 oz package of oreos (sometimes I use 2 packages)
8 oz softened cream cheese
2 cups semi sweet or milk chocolate chips (or white chocolate)
1 tablespoon shortening

Here's what you do:
Crush the entire package of oreos
(whole cookie, dont take filling out)
Once oreos are crushed put in large bowl and mix in cream cheese
Roll into balls
(whatever size youd like)
place in freezer for 30 min-1 hr
Melt choc chips and shortening in microwave
use a toothpick to dip oreo balls into melted chocolate
put on wax paper and let harden
VOILA! Best dessert E.V.E.R.

My mom started making these a year or two ago and the whole family is addicted!

Here's what you'll need:
1 box saltine crackers
1 1/2 cup canola oil
1 pckg ranch dressing mix
3 T crushed red pepper flakes

Here's what you'll do:
Put crackers in a sealable container
combine ingredients in another bowl and pour over crackers
seal the container, and shake them around so all crackers are covered
repeat this process every 15 minutes to ensure all crackers are coated
deliciousness at your fingers!

Christmas morning Heaven!
Sausage balls

My mom makes these every morning on Christmas and they are gone in seconds!

Here's what you'll need:
2 cups bisquick
1 package sharp cheddar grated cheese
1 lb sausage

Here's what you'll do:
allow cheese and sausage to reach room temp.
place in mixing bowl with bisquick and blend till smooth
press/roll mixture into 1 inch balls
place on cookie sheets about 1 inch apart
bake in 400* for about 10-12 minutes or until golden brown

Are you all drooling yet?!

Rainy Monday

rain is fun sometimes.
Top: Urban Outfitters, Button up: Hurley outlet, Jeggings: F21, Leg warmers: F21, Boots: Shoe Carnival

It's raining today!
Which means Kyle gets to leave work early!
Which means we get to have a margarita date!
That's all for now dolls!

Let's get real for a minute

why not both?!

A good friend of mine posted this video on my wall on facebook and it really brought me back to reality. I'm a firm believer in God and I believe and stand by every single word that's written in the Bible.
With all of the emphasis on physical appearance and wealth and materialistic things these days people really lose sight on what's really important in life.
Watch the video below, you wont regret it!

Let's be honest here, I have a really hard time reading the Bible because I don't understand half the words in it, and all of the "shall, thou, willst, go forth" and all those other lovely words drive me insane!
So for those of you interested in this passage I found a great website that breaks it down for you.
It truly is inspiring.
"A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies."
Modern version: A strong, capable woman with strong convictions. This description of the ideal wife does not agree with those who associate femininity with weakness and passivity.
"Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value."
Modern version: Her husband trusts her management of their resources. Her industriousness adds to the family income.
"She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life."
Modern version: This woman does not do right only when it is convenient and profitable. Her actions are not based on how she is treated by others or by what others think. Her character is steady. She is reliable and dependable.
"She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands."
Modern Version: This woman enjoys working so much that she plans ahead for what she needs in order to accomplish her responsibilities.
"She is like the merchant ships, bringing her food from afar."
Modern Version: The trait not to settle for the mediocre is portrayed by a woman who goes the extra mile for quality items.
"She gets up while it is still dark; she provides food for her family and portions for her servant girls."
Modern version: Though the woman described here has servants to take care of many of the household duties, she sets the pace. She understands that good managers have a responsibility to take care of those under their authority. That is one of her top priorities.
"She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard."
Modern Version: Every woman doesn’t have to go into real estate and horticulture — the principle here is that this woman uses her mind. She does not act on a whim, but logically analyzes a situation before making a decision. Her goals are not only short term — she envisions the long-range benefits of her decisions.
"She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks."
Modern Version: We get a picture of a woman who vigorously goes about her duties. She keeps herself healthy and strong by proper health practices — good diet, adequate rest and exercise. Many people depend on her.
"She sees that her trading is profitable, and her lamp does not go out at night."
Modern Version: She knows that her merchandise is good and takes pride in doing a good job. Night or day, no one worries that her responsibilities are not taken care of.

I absolutely love this scripture, I constantly find myself getting lost in the mess of this world.
I need to stop focusing on outward appearances and trying to be "perfect".
First of all, perfect doesnt exist, and perfect is boring!
Now let me be very clear...
I'm not saying that in order to be "this woman" you cant love clothes and shopping and material things.
I'm not saying that it's bad to want to improve your appearance, eat healthy, work out, wear clothes that compliment you.
What I am saying is, dont let those things consume your life!
You're so much more than that.
Alright I'm done now!
Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!

A quick one!

Tank: Target, Sweater: F21, Jeggings: F21, Boots: Wet Seal

Today was really boring, like really boring.
I need to figure out how to spice up my life a little.
Especially in the girlfriend area.
me and kyle are 97 years old. really though.
we need to get it together and be spontaneous.
a little money would definitely help.
but hey, who says you need a ton of money to have fun?

So since I'm disgusted with my not so fantastic life, I did some googling!
and I came across a blog full of creative and cheap ideas for us relationship whores.
Everyone needs to go check it out and show some love!
I could just pee my pants I am so excited!

Where's my reward?

Top: Boyfriends, Scarf: F21, Jeans: Tj Maxx, Shoes: Walmart (best buy ever)

I feel like I should be rewarded for my online shopping habits.
I mean, I spend time every single day putting things in my "online shopping bag" from different stores. Okay, I may not purchase the items...but it's the thought that counts right?
I'm taking my time to let these stores know, "hey! great job, I want your products."
So I believe, every now and then, they should maybe send me one of the items in my bag.
You know, just as a nice gesture, a thank you, for being such a dedicated customer.
Who's with me?!?!

Anywayssssss, yesterday was a rough one for me, who knew DIY gifts could be so stressful?
I'm trying to make my parents this gift for Christmas, I would post it but I wouldn't want to ruin the surprise!
So, yall will get to see the finished product.
I'm also trying to pack up my entire apartment and stay sane living in this filth.
Why was yesterday so stinky?
Get ready people, I'm about to throw my own pitty party...
Well, I have been SO excited about Christmas break, going home and relaxing, being with my family and friends, so excited to go see Kyle and be with his crazy family.
Oh wait...Kyle will be gone. the entire break.
Which means I will be all alone, and unloved, and forgotten.
(exaggeration at its finest)
but that's how I felt yesterday, so I cried.
Like any hormonal girl would.
And Kyle hated it, like every male does.
and let me just quote "Babe, why are you so emotional?"
Shouldnt they know better by now?
from personal experience, movies, novels,
or just witnessing how bad a girl reacts when she is asked that God forsaken question.
but I handled it well, I already put him through enough that day.
and of course I knew I was being extremely over emotional.
What's a girl to do?!
I'm glad he still loves me. :]
Even though I get a little cray cray on the regular.
