What's the gym?

So, I have not been myself lately.
I have been lazy and unmotivated.

Since I'm student teaching this semester I barely have any free time.
It's really sad.
Therefore, I havent been working out. at all.
This is not okay.
By the time I get home every day I am just so exhausted I cant seem to get myself to the gym.
But this really needs to change, working out makes me happy.
It makes me feel confident and just all around better about myself.
So it's about time that I lock it up and get it together,
I gotta get it right and get it tight.
So, I somehow need to force myself to go to the gym AT LEAST 3 times a week.
I'm only going to get busier & busier as the semester goes on
so I need to get some kind of routine going.
and STICK with it.
Oh, and I also need some major motivation.
I dont know what's wrong with me lately, I just have NO desire to work out :/
And on top of that, I love eating foods that have no nutritional value whatsoever.
So, this girls gotta get some motivation somehow!
That being said...I'm going to take my
"Who doesnt need a little motivation?" board on pinterest,
& share it with yall.
Because just maybe some of yall are lacking in the motivation area as well!

Okay, so I'm sure some of you are rolling your eyes about now,
thinking "please shutup, you're tiny!"
Yes, I'm lucky and dont really gain a lot of weight when I dont work out.
BUT...
I lose muscle REAL fast, and my poor little butt is what shrinks first,
Let's be honest, nobody had ever uttered the words,
"Ugh I wish my butt was flat and saggy"
Okay, okay my butt isnt necessarily saggy but it could definitely use a boost!
So I'm the girl that get's that "skinny fat" look,
Dont lie ladies, that's almost worse than being overweight,
if not worse it's just as bad.
So anyways, today when I get home
I'm gonna have my work out clothes laid out and ready for me!

Maybe I can get myself some baby abs and a perky butt by spring break?
Actually that's coming up pretty soon... DEFINITELY by summer! :]
Anyone else need some extra motivation?!
Let's help each otherrrr people!

  1. Hi Monica! It's my first time visiting and I absolutely know what you mean in this post! Since I turned 30 last year, the weight has just not been as 'nicely' manageable as before! I really needed this motivation...thank you! Hope you'll stop by and would you be interesting in following each other?

  2. Skinny fat. Lol I know about that especially after having two babies. I'm tiny but I still need toning especially on my tummy. Im staying at home but even with extra time I don't always exercise. I'll do it for a few days and then lose motivation again.

  3. We are in the EXACT same boat!! I'm a pretty small person naturally and my problem is my butt too! I could skip the gym for a month and my abs and arms will stay "ok" but my butt feels like it lowered a good couple of inches! haha I bought some butt dvds and have been trying to do those at home on the nights when I can't get out the door and get to the gym!

  7. I've been a "real" teacher for two years now. Don't believe what mentors and supervisors tell you: Student teaching is, hands down, the busiest you'll ever be. A real job can't even compare to it. I gained 10 pounds my student-teaching semester so I know exactly where you're coming from. Good luck!

  8. Ugh. I am the same way. I would really love to go to the gym, but as soon as i get home from working 9 hours, i am 100% exhausted. I need to find energy and motivation to make myself go and i think your blog and these pictures will surely do that! I'm really looking forward to your future posts. :)

    have a wonderful weekend.

  15. Um, Yes. I have been struggling with the exact same thing. Finding the TIME to work out. Everything you said in your post is what I have been feeling/thinking lately. I actually made a February workout schedule and will do so for each month so I'll actually stick to it! I was planning on posting about it soon!

  18. I just had a baby in Dec. & well...my stomach is not as flat as it used to be & I don't have the motivation to work out. When I saw these pictures though, it definitely helped. Although I can't exactly get up to work out right now because my entire body is sore from playing flag football yesterday (felt more like tackle football). I figure that's a start though right? lol
