I've never been good at Goodbyes.

Yall Wednesday was SO sweet.
And incredibly sad.
It was my last day at the elementary school and it was SO hard saying bye to my 5th graders.
They all got me gifts but my favorite had to be a book that they all made me,
It was titled, "The important things about Miss Jones"
Inside they each wrote me a letter & drew me a picture.

(coming in that day I knew I MIGHT cry, but that I could probably hold it together)

So then, my cooperating teacher had me sit at the front of the classroom,
and she had all my gifts up there and all of the kids were sitting on the carpet.
For those of you who dont know me, I am extremely outgoing.
But there's nothing I hate more than unwillingly being the center of attention.
I get so nervous and uncomfortable and turn blood red.
lol not a fun time.
So she tells me that I'm going to go sit in the chair in the front of the classroom,
and open up my gits.
My heart was racing.
But thank God I didnt have to read anything.
I opened the book they made me first,
and then 1 by 1 each student came to the front, stood by me, & read what they wrote to me.
My eyes were so full of tears, but I didnt let any fall!
I was so proud of myself.
I cry often, but I hate crying in front of people,
unless it's my mom, boyfriend, or best friends.
Here are some of the things they wrote.

Some of the kids started getting choked up while they were reading,
Omg my heart just melted!

My cooperating teachers!
There's 2 because it was an inclusion classroom.

It was definitely a sad day, butttt they're having a staff vs. 5th grade
kickball game on May 25th and I'm prayingggg I can go and surprise them!
I'm going in for an interview with my old boss today at the golf course,
So I'm going to make sure I'm off in the morning that day so I can go!

Sorry for the late post today!
Yesterday was crraaaaazzzzyyyyy!

  3. What an awesome experience! I am studying to be a teacher, and I spent a week in a classroom over Spring break. The kids all wrote me letters and drew me pictures too! What a rewarding experience :)
