This Saturday my sister and I headed over to this placed called Sam Moon…
I have NEVER heard of this place before, and apparently they are only in Texas!
Well thank God for Texas because this store just changed my life!

knock off Vera Bradley bag for $12!!
yes please.

This store is THE BEST, some of the cutest scarves I have ever seen!
and SO many jewelry options, their prices are also ridiculously good.
I'm definitely going to be going there regularly…
So sad that it's an hour away from my house :/
Oh well, a girls gotta sacrifice for some good prices!

On another note...
did I mention Kyle and I picked out our bands Friday?!
I am MADLY in love.
Sometimes I secretly wear it at the house during the day.
Not too long before it'll be on my finger forever!

Crunch time + Margaritas

Top, Jacket, Boots: ShopMCE.com (best online boutique ever, duh)
Jeggings: Forever21

Y'all the wedding is in LESS than 2 weeks, like 12 days.
Which means it's CRUNCH time, and I'm just a TAD bit stressed.
Which means I am constantly desperate for a good margarita.
Thank God there's a great mexican restaurant near mine and Kyle's new house…
I kind of forced him into taking me to get one the other day
A good margarita and chips and guac (or queso) are my absolute weakness.
Could literally eat mexican food every day for the rest of my life!

So needless to say I'm crazy busy, stressed, anxious, nervous, excited, happy…
and well a million other emotions!

There is still A LOT to do which is kind of stressing me out,
but hey it will all work out!
I hope all of you have been doing well,
I've been so consumed with this wedding and everything that I
haven't had time to see how all of your lives are going!

The weather is FREEZING here,
A lot of schools and work places are saying to stay home..
Which means we can't drive to go get things done :/
And it scares me that it's going to be freezing on our wedding day…
But I'm trying to stay positive!!!
Everything will work out...

Praying for beautiful weather.

We celebrated my moms birthday this weekend!
So Kyle came over and so did my sister and brother in law,
and we used all of our Christmas gift cards to take my parents out to a nice lunch haha
(you gotta do what you gotta do)
We took them to Logans roadhouse and all ate an unhealthy amount of food.

This is the only picture I managed to take that day.

After eating dad took the boys to this new indoor go kart place,
they loved it, obviously.

Then we went home and had way too much dessert and all plopped on the couch!
It was a pretty good day!

So now I need all of you to do me a favor…
the weather has been absolutely beautiful here, but a cold front just came in.
I'm begging all of you to pray your hearts out that the weather is nice on February 9th!
I can't really picture my wedding being inside and I'm really hoping and praying it won't be.
So prayers for good weather on our wedding day are EXTREMELY appreciated!

Hope you all have a wonderful day!

busy, busy, busy.

Talk about a busyyyy week!
Meetings, meetings, meetings.
We met with the coordinator Wednesday, the pastor Thursday, and got my dress Friday!
and of course working our butts off making decorations all in between...
And then this weekend we celebrated my beautiful mothers birthday!

It was one heck of a week and I'm not thinking this week is going to be any less hectic!
It's definitely crunch time when it comes to the wedding,
there are literally ONLY 20 days left until I walk down the aisle and marry my best friend!
I'm getting my first spray tan this week and I'm kind of nervous,
I've heard great things about this place but all I can picture is me walking out
looking like a streaked up orange…fingers crossed that it looks great!

I know my posts have been random and all over the place lately,
but I know once I'm married and back on a normal schedule
my blogging will start being normal again!

EEEE 20 days y'all!!!

Just a few DIY wedding decorations!

I just realized I haven't shared ANY wedding details with y'all.
So here we go…
Theme is Rustic/Chic I guess?
Colors are neutrals, tan, blush, peach, pink etc.
Bridesmaids are wearing maxis that are a taupe color and can be worn multiple different ways
Groomsmen (and groom) will be wearing grey
I guess you can call it a DIY wedding…kind of.
We are making most of the decorations ourselves!
here are just a few…
I've never been to hobby lobby and michaels SO much in my entire life.

We made these "confetti cones" out of scrapbook paper!
Going to put confetti in there for our exit!

the bottom right is my throw away bouquet!

We've still got a lot to do but I am getting SO excited!
We are meeting with the coordinator and food/cake people tomorrow,
then meeting with the pastor Thursday,
then I'm picking up my dress FRIDAY!!!!!
Needless to day, I'm a LITTLE busy.

I can't wait to see how everything comes together!
I'm doing 2 different centerpieces,
some tables will have pretty lanterns with floral around them,
and some will have 3 wine bottles wrapped in burlap/lace with floral around them.

I'll show y'all pictures soon!
Hope everyone has a wonderful Tuesday.
I'm getting myself a gym membership today…
probably should've done that a while ago…whoops!

Bridal Shower Day!

This Saturday I had my bridal shower, and it was PERFECT!

Dress: ShopMCE.com
Belt: Kate Spade
Heels: Forever21

Here are the amazing hostesses who made this shower happen!

and a few of the adorable decorations...

and A LOT of amazing people…
My mamaw, myself and Kyle's nana!

Mom, Mamaw, Me, Nana, Mindy (Kyle's nana and mom)

My side of the family!

Claire, one of the sweetest girls I know, seriously love her to death!

Kyle's cousin Krissa, myself and Rachel!
Rachel is doing the flowers for the wedding!

Brandy and I!

Me and the girls on Kyle's side!
(minus his sister who was at school)

Me and my mom and mom to be!

Love these girls, been best friends for a LONG time!

a few of my beautiful bridesmaids!
(I have 7 total)

sissy and mom!

I'm not going to lie I was SO nervous about this day…
I know that sounds so weird and silly but I DO NOT like to be the center of attention.
It makes me anxious and sweaty and awkward and turn red and I just don't like it.
(so naturally I'm going to be a disaster on my wedding day)
But it actually went perfectly!
Of course there are always awkward moments but over all it was so much fun,
and I loved seeing everyone and getting a bunch of gifts was definitely a plus!
We played this game where they asked Kyle a bunch of questions previously
and I had to guess his answers!
That brought a WHOLE lot of laughter to the room, and made me miss Kyle a lot.
Afterwards I opened presents and then after that all of the photos started taking place!
Once it started to fizzle down all of my girlfriends wanted to go see Kyle and I's new place
since it was in the same neighborhood as the shower!
As soon as we got there I looked in the mirror and holy cow can you say HOT MESS?!
Sweating, and talking, and laughing, and crying makes a girl look ROUGH….
Which makes me REALLY nervous about the wedding…
but obviously I'll be wearing more "emotion proof" make up haha, at least I hope so.

I've GOT to start doing trial runs with my hair and make up.
There's seriously SO much to do y'all.
Like I feel like my mom and I make 100 things and as soon as we want to relax
we have to make 200 more of something else.
Phewwwwww, it's all worth it though, and it's fun!

I need to share pictures with y'all of things we've already made!
Eep can't wait to show y'all THE REAL WEDDING!
Of course it needs to happen first…

27 DAYS!!!

I need a blog makeover!!

I've been so busy wedding planning and decorating our new home!
With all these changes happening I can't help but think about this old blog of mine.
It is in MAJOR need of a make over!
Who can help me?!
Nothing too fancy, I'm really into rustic/vintage everything, and I like simple.
Simple is always good.

If you or anyone you know would be willing to help a girl out,
just let me know!

Hobo Hats and one heck of a recipe.

Cold fronts always mean I pull out my favorite beanie.
Simple, goes with everything, and keeps me warm!

Kyle and I have been busy working on our new home!
(well our home for the next year at least)
I can't wait to show y'all pictures!
It's hard because there are SO many things we want to do,
but we can't because we are renting it and it's not actually ours.
But hey, that's okay because we are getting a lot of ideas for when we do buy our first home.

As most of you know Kyle and I really enjoy eating, and eating a lot.
We ended up making this DELICIOUS recipe yesterday and I'm SO excited to share it!
I actually found the recipe on "light cooking" which is extremely surprising when you look at the title..
"Chicken, Bacon, Ranch Mac & Cheese"
I don't know about you, but "light" isn't exactly what comes to mind when I read that.
and then I read the recipe and realized that they only put teeny amounts of all the good stuff!
Well, we changed that REAL quick.

Here is the recipe that I copied, but we used 4 pieces of bacon, and way more cheese.
(you can never have too much bacon, or too much cheese)

  •  ounces uncooked elbow macaroni
  • slice applewood-smoked bacon (we used 4 pieces)
  • 8 ounces skinless, boneless chicken breast, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups fat-free milk (we used whole milk)
  • 1/3 cup condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
  • 3/4 cup (3 ounces) shredded six-cheese Italian blend (such as Sargento) (we used more than 3/4)
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon chopped fresh dill
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • Cooking spray
  • 1/2 cup (2 ounces) shredded colby-Jack cheese

  1. 1. Cook pasta according to package directions, omitting salt and fat; drain.
  2. 2. Cook bacon in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat until crisp. Remove bacon from pan, reserving drippings in pan. Finely chop bacon; set aside. Increase heat to medium-high. Add chicken to drippings in pan; sauté 6 minutes or until done.
  3. 3. Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium heat; sprinkle flour evenly into pan. Cook 2 minutes, stirring constantly with a whisk. Combine milk and soup, stirring with a whisk; gradually add milk mixture to saucepan, stirring with a whisk. Bring to a boil; cook 2 minutes or until thick. Remove from heat; let stand 4 minutes or until sauce cools to 155°. Add Italian cheese blend, onion powder, garlic powder, dill, and salt, stirring until cheese melts. Stir in pasta and chicken.
  4. 4. Preheat broiler.
  5. 5. Spoon mixture into an 8-inch square baking dish coated with cooking spray. Sprinkle evenly with reserved bacon and colby-Jack cheese. Broil 3 minutes or until cheese melts.

We were a little worried it wasn't going to turn out good,
but holy crap it was AMAZING!

Why Hello There 2014!

NYE Outfit:

Top: Windsorstore.com
Jacket: ShopMCE.com
Jeans: Paige Denim via Nordstrom
Heels: Forever21.com
Necklace: PreeBrulee.com

This New Years was pretty simple, nothing too exciting!
Kyle and I (and Kyle's sister and her boyfriend) decided to spend NYE with their mom.
None of us really felt like doing anything too crazy anyways.
Kyle and I are basically 97 and we are perfectly fine with that.

Mine all mine <3 6 years and counting!

Kyle's beautiful sister Michelle and her boyfriend Alex!

Kyle's little sister and Mom, and me of course!
Could they be any more gorgeous?!

Kyle's mom took us all to dinner at Saltgrass Steakhouse,
I skipped the steak this time and got the hickory chicken…
which is chicken smothered in Bar BQ sauce, cheese, and bacon.
Basically Heaven on a plate.
After dinner we went back to the house had some wine and played some games.
I know it sounds lame, but we have SO much fun.
Taboo is our favorite, and it never fails I always end up laughing until I cry.

Kyle and I barely made it to midnight.
But I knew I HAD to kiss him right when it turned 12:00, I ALWAYS have too!
I was literally already in bed at this point.
I would say it was a successful New Years.
We got to spend it with Family and actually had a lot of fun.

Can't wait for all of the amazing things 2014 is going to bring!
