Sheesh how is it already Monday?!
We were pretty busy this weekend, so of course it feels like it was JUST Friday.
One of my very best friends had a cute little “I Do BBQ” on Saturday,
so Kyle and I hopped over there to celebrate for a few hours!
I actually ended up changing my top last minute,
but this is a super cute look as well – I’m a huge fan of mixing prints!!
Stripes and leopard print are always a big YES in my book.

The BBQ was at this adorable place called Spindletap Brewery,
If you’ve never been I HIGHLY recommend going!
I got super crazy and had a sip of champagne, haha!
It was so much fun seeing and catching up with everyone,
but it didn’t take long for my feet to start swelling and feel super uncomfortable.
This was the first and probably the last time I attempt to wear pumps while pregnant.

We got home around 6 and were totally ready for bed haha
This time change has got us all kinds of confused with how dark it’s been getting!
We worked on the nursery a lot on Sunday and I’m SO excited to share it with y’all.
I think I’m going to wait and do a big reveal on here once it’s completely finished,
but don’t worry you’ll see small glimpses every now and then on Insta stories!!

I’ve got a fun post for y’all tomorrow, sharing a new self tanner I’ve discovered!
So make sure you hop back over to say hi and check it out!!
Have a great Monday y’all!

I am officially 22 weeks pregnant and feeling bigger than ever!
Figured i’d do one of these little “bump date” posts today,
mainly for me to remember, but hopefully y’all will enjoy it as well!!

How far along are you? 22 weeks and 1 day!
What fruit are you? Well, one app told me baby is the size of a burger, another one told me a coconut, and another told me a papaya! Soooo….there ya go!
Due Date? March 4th! But secretly hoping he comes a tinyyyy bit earlier
Gender: Boy! Hayes Wyatt
Total weight gain/loss: I had gained about 15 lbs at my 20 week appointment, I officially weigh the most I have ever weighed!
Exercise: Gosh i’m trying! It’s definitely not as easy as I was hoping it would be, but i’ve been doing 30 minute work outs every now and then and just modifying the moves, and also walking every day!
Stretch marks: None so far, Hoping it stays that way!
Swelling: No swelling yet, however if i’m on my feet all day they tend to feel about 500 lbs
Maternity clothes: Oh that’s a big YES, give me all the stretchy pants please. Seems like I’m even growing out of those these days!
Belly button: In! I have an oddly deep belly button so I’m thinking it may stay this way! haha
Sleep: Lots of tossing and turning, baby boy LOVES to kick me at night!
Food cravings: Yellow gatorade, milk…been craving candy/sweets more!
Symptoms: Lower back pain, heavy boobs lol!
Movement: SO much movement, all throughout the day. Seriously the best feeling in the whole entire world. I could just stare at my tummy all day long.
What I miss: Fitting into all of my normal clothes lol
What I’m loving: Watching my body change, feeling those sweet kicks, preparing his nursery.
What i’m looking forward too: Seeing this baby boys sweet face, Watching Kyle be a dad, and just alllllllll the baby snuggles.
Best moment this week: Seeing his kicks on the outside of my tummy!
Words of wisdom: Pregnancy is such an incredible thing. People say it all the time but it really is crazy what our bodies are capable of. Give yourself grace during pregnancy, don’t be too hard on yourself. Try to enjoy every moment and every bump along the way. There are good days and there are hard days and that’s just the way it is, soak it all up mama!!!!

//  Dress // Booties // Earrings  // Necklace //

I’ve been eyeing this dress in the rust color for SO long now,
I needed a new dress for a friends wedding this Sunday and they ended up not having my size in the rust color.
Which was actually totally fine because the black was G O R G E O U S.
However, looking back I definitely could’ve gone with the XS instead of the S!
The fit runs big so I would suggest sizing down if you decide to order one.
Okay, let’s talk about these booties…
I caved in and purchased them last year and it was the best decision EVER.
I love the pointed toe, and they are so comfy, even while pregnant I can wear them all day!
I’m definitely going to get them in brown this year, they are a MUST.
I’ll link the brown color for y’all HERE.

We drove back home from Dallas late last night because
we have our 20 week anatomy scan this morning!!
So i’m off to eat a healthy breakfast and get ready to see my baby boy!
Happy Monday y’all!

A super casual and normal Saturday,
turned out to be the day I felt the happiest I’ve ever felt in my entire life…..

Kyle and I woke up early Saturday morning and drove across town to pick up a couch that my amazing parents decided to give us! We’ve had Kyle’s old leather “college couch” our entire marriage,
and Lord have mercy, it was TIME for a new(ish) couch.

We picked the couch up {as well as some breakfast tacos}, spent some time with my parents and then headed back home! I’m currently in my 2nd trimester of pregnancy and everyone always talks about this “insane amount of energy” the 2nd trimester brings, and unfortunately, I haven’t witnessed that yet. Yes, I do feel GREAT, and have way more energy than I did the 1st trimester…
But if I stand too long or do too much my body is NOT happy.
Needless to say, I needed to relax once we got home because I knew we had plans with Kyle’s family that afternoon!
Baby boy has been kicking up a storm lately and I always feel him most when i’m resting.
I’ve tried to get Kyle to feel him countless times but he is never able too.
I can feel him kick on the outside sometimes but Kyle never can, so I figured maybe I can only feel him on the outside because I feel him on the inside also…if that make sense?

Anyways, Kyle and I headed to his grandparents around 2pm to be with the family and celebrate his Papas 80th birthday!
After dinner baby boy was going NUTS in my tummy. I was sitting on the couch and Kyle’s little sister Michelle was right next to me, so of course she put her hand on my tummy just to see if she could feel anything….
I’m so used to him kicking and Kyle not reacting because he can’t feel it, so when he kicked and Michelle turned to me with her mouth wide open, I just about lost it!!
SHE FELT HIM!!
It took about everything in me not to cry.
Of course we grabbed Kyle and had him put his hand on my tummy so he could feel,
but still…nothing.
Which was so frustrating, I just wanted him to feel our baby.

Fast forward a few hours and we finally made it home.
It was about 10pm and I laid on my back on the couch,
and said “alright babe, let’s try this again, he’s kicking!”
Kyle put his hand on my tummy and we waited a few seconds,
then all of the sudden baby kicked super hard…
Kyle’s eyes widened, he had a huge smile on his face,
“I FELT THAT!” he said.
I immediately started giggling uncontrollably from happiness,
and then baby boy kept kicking super hard over and over and over,
and Kyle kept saying, “I felt that!! I felt that too!!!”
I honestly can’t even describe the feeling of emotions that came over me in that moment.
I was giggling like a kid and crying, and smiling SO big it hurt.
I’ve never experienced such pure joy in my entire life.
It was the best moment, the sweetest moment, a moment that i’ll carry with me
for the rest of my life.
I’m so glad it happened when it was just us, I think the moment would’ve been a lot different if he had felt the baby when the entire family was around and there was just so much going on.
It was perfect.
Can’t wait for our appointment Thursday to see how much he’s grown!

Happy Monday!
I am officially 18 weeks pregnant, and I am LOVING this whole “growing a baby” thing.

I’ve been craving milk, like so much milk..
(it’s actually a little scary how much I could drink)
and Chinese food and CARBS, but mainly biscuits and milk? so weird.
I’m feeling GREAT, but have to be in bed by 8:30 or I get grumpy.
I’ve gained a total of 8 lbs so far and cannot wait to start decorating the nursery!

——————————————————————————————————–

Kyle and his cousin Corey purchased a boat for the family in July of 2016!
One of mine and Kyles favorite things to do has been to take it out in the evenings
on a week night just us and Charley and make a little date night out of it.
and now that Fall is here…well it’s supposed to be here, but we live in Houston, so…

Anyways…

We probably won’t be taking the boat out much more this year,
Especially once the time changes and it starts getting darker earlier.
So Kyle and I decided to have one last family {boat} date night before
there’s a real life little babe outside of my belly!

I seriously can’t believe i’m almost half way through this pregnancy!
Part of me feels like we just found out yesterday and another part of me feels
like March is a million years away.

We’ve been doing some adjustments to our guest rooms and moving things around
and building things etc. I can’t wait to show y’all!!!
I want to do a full home tour for y’all once we really get everything DONE.

Alright, well i’m off to get a little work out in.

Have a great day babes!
