I’ve never been a huge fan of “outfit repeating” but I’ve always been a fan of buying items
that can easily be styled multiple different ways!
Whenever I saw this little OTS dress I knew it was a *must have* this Fall,
not to mention is was only 10 bucks!! I decided to dedicate todays post to styling this dress 3 different ways! I have a feeling you’ll be seeing this dress a lot around here!

Happy Tuesday Babes!!

A super casual and normal Saturday,
turned out to be the day I felt the happiest I’ve ever felt in my entire life…..

Kyle and I woke up early Saturday morning and drove across town to pick up a couch that my amazing parents decided to give us! We’ve had Kyle’s old leather “college couch” our entire marriage,
and Lord have mercy, it was TIME for a new(ish) couch.

We picked the couch up {as well as some breakfast tacos}, spent some time with my parents and then headed back home! I’m currently in my 2nd trimester of pregnancy and everyone always talks about this “insane amount of energy” the 2nd trimester brings, and unfortunately, I haven’t witnessed that yet. Yes, I do feel GREAT, and have way more energy than I did the 1st trimester…
But if I stand too long or do too much my body is NOT happy.
Needless to say, I needed to relax once we got home because I knew we had plans with Kyle’s family that afternoon!
Baby boy has been kicking up a storm lately and I always feel him most when i’m resting.
I’ve tried to get Kyle to feel him countless times but he is never able too.
I can feel him kick on the outside sometimes but Kyle never can, so I figured maybe I can only feel him on the outside because I feel him on the inside also…if that make sense?

Anyways, Kyle and I headed to his grandparents around 2pm to be with the family and celebrate his Papas 80th birthday!
After dinner baby boy was going NUTS in my tummy. I was sitting on the couch and Kyle’s little sister Michelle was right next to me, so of course she put her hand on my tummy just to see if she could feel anything….
I’m so used to him kicking and Kyle not reacting because he can’t feel it, so when he kicked and Michelle turned to me with her mouth wide open, I just about lost it!!
SHE FELT HIM!!
It took about everything in me not to cry.
Of course we grabbed Kyle and had him put his hand on my tummy so he could feel,
but still…nothing.
Which was so frustrating, I just wanted him to feel our baby.

Fast forward a few hours and we finally made it home.
It was about 10pm and I laid on my back on the couch,
and said “alright babe, let’s try this again, he’s kicking!”
Kyle put his hand on my tummy and we waited a few seconds,
then all of the sudden baby kicked super hard…
Kyle’s eyes widened, he had a huge smile on his face,
“I FELT THAT!” he said.
I immediately started giggling uncontrollably from happiness,
and then baby boy kept kicking super hard over and over and over,
and Kyle kept saying, “I felt that!! I felt that too!!!”
I honestly can’t even describe the feeling of emotions that came over me in that moment.
I was giggling like a kid and crying, and smiling SO big it hurt.
I’ve never experienced such pure joy in my entire life.
It was the best moment, the sweetest moment, a moment that i’ll carry with me
for the rest of my life.
I’m so glad it happened when it was just us, I think the moment would’ve been a lot different if he had felt the baby when the entire family was around and there was just so much going on.
It was perfect.
Can’t wait for our appointment Thursday to see how much he’s grown!

Happy Wednesday babes!

I’ve teamed up with the cutest boutique ever and ALL of you
can take 10% off your order with my code “Monica10” (valid for 30 days)!!!

Hope’s has so many cute items but one thing I just HAD to have was this plum laced up sweater.
I ended up getting the size medium because I wanted it to be more of an oversized fit,
and I knew I wanted to wear it off the shoulder!
This sweater comes in 3 different colors, and their items sell QUICK so don’t wait too long to order.

Sweater {take 10% off with code Monica10} // Jeans, cute option, cute option  // Shoes

So a “cold front” came in this week and it’s FINALLY below 90 degrees in Houston!!
*Shout out to Jesus*
Kyle and I took the pup for a walk late last night and it felt so dang nice.

Can’t wait to bust out the rest of my sweaters and favorite cozy pieces,
Fall is my F A V O R I T E.
We’re still kind of at that awkward stage in Houston where it’s cold in the mornings and at night,
but you’ll sweat your butt off if you try wearing a sweater in the middle of the day…

But hey i’m not complaining, Cooler weather is right around the corner!
{I hope}

Happy Hump Day!
(PS I’ve worked out every day this week, y’all would be so proud)

Is it too late to do a weekend recap of two weekends ago?!

(Really wish I could add emojis in here)

Goodness, I’m behind!

Snag this cute suit for under $20!!

Kyle and I spent a lot of time in the sun this past weekend.

On Saturday we headed to my parents for some pool action,

followed by a MUCH needed dinner at Texas Roadhouse.

If y’all haven’t ever had their Chicken Critter Salad, i’m urging you,

GO NOW.

Hands down, best salad ever.

 [with ranch of course]

Dang it, now that I typed that I need one right.this.second!

Anyways, I’m thinking about doing a post soon about,

“What not to say to a pregnant woman”

If you follow me on instagram you maaaaaay have seen a rant on my stories this Saturday.

WAY too many people have given me their 2 cents on my pregnant belly,
and I had just had E N O U G H.
So thankful for all of my fellow mamas and sweet friends though.
You all shared similar stories with me and cheered me up REAL quick.
I love y’all.

For those who have no clue what i’m talking about,
There were multiple different instances where people had let me know
that my belly was way too big for how far along I am,
and well, I let it get under my skin.

BUT i’m feeling much better now and know that unwanted comments and opinions
are just something that comes along with pregnancy!

I love this {big} belly of mine, and I am so incredibly proud of my body and what it’s doing.
For all you other pregnant mamas who have had similar experiences,
you’re not alone and you’re PERFECT!
To all you pregnant mamas who aren’t showing yet and getting the,
“ummm are you sure you’re pregnant??” “are you feeding that growing baby??” etc…
Hang in there!
You are perfect as well and everyones body changes and grows at it’s own pace.
We mamas need to all stick together and support each other no matter what,
no more body shaming, and judgment!

Have a happy Tuesday Y’all!

Things are going to be changing a little bit in my world soon!

I officially applied to be a Substitute Teacher this year!

{WOOO HOOOO}

As much as I love being at home, blogging, and running my online boutique.

The income right now just isn’t as consistent as I would like…

and to be completely honest, I NEED HUMAN INTERACTION.

I’m hoping I’ll hear back from them sometime this week so I can start soon!

Not only am I excited about getting out of the house,

but I actually have an excuse to create a cute look multiple times a week!!

{whoop whoop}

My pregnancy has left me SO tired all the time,

so this will be a good way to get up and moving and hopefully be more productive.

Kyle and I went on a little date night on Friday,

which means I FINALLY washed my hair and changed out of my sweatpants!

Dress/Wedges/Earrings

We went to Shogun, one of those Japanese Grills where they cook in front of you!

If you’ve never been to a restaurant like this, you typically sit at a big table with random people.

Kyle and I were the first to arrive, and then a girl and her mom arrived after us and sat by us,

and then a family of four…

I’m leaving out a bunch of little details BUT the main reason i’m telling y’all this story is because….

E V E R Y  S I N G L E person at the table {besides Kyle and I} was on an electronic device

the entire freaking dinner!!!!!!

Guys, it was so weird.

Nobody even said hi to us, and NO ONE was talking,

which made it uncomfortable for Kyle and I to have a conversation because

they were all sitting at the same table as us and it was SO quiet they could hear every word

that we said to each other.

It was seriously the weirdest and saddest thing.

Anyways, I’m telling all of you this to say, please don’t be those people.

In a world where we’re all addicted to our phones and technology, myself included.

DO NOT let it get so bad that you can’t even enjoy a dinner with your family.

I’ll be the first to admit, that yes, I love social media, and the internet and all of the above.

But I do everything I can to still be in the moment as much as possible,

and to not let it hurt my relationships and friendships.

Hell, I give all of you who are reading this that hang out with me to CALL ME OUT,

if i’m ever with you and i’m not paying attention to you because i’m on my phone.

I D O  N O T ever want to be that person.

Okay, rant over.

Time to get off the internet and get some work done and do something outside in this

UH MAZING weather God has been blessing us with lately!

Hope everyone enjoys their Monday!
