Weekend Recap – A super cute pregnancy OOTD

Well guys, I’m still pregnant.
Did all the walking and ate all the spicy foods this weekend but there’s still a little guy in my belly.
Guess I’ve just gotta keep being patient!!
We had a fun little double date night on Saturday and I can’t even begin to explain how much I love this top that I wore. I purchased it for after Hayes is born because I loved the loose fit and thought it would be great to hide the postpartum belly, but still look super cute!
Well, apparently it looks adorable while you’re super pregnant too!
There are lots of color options available, and I’m pretty sure I’m going to snag the purple one soon.
I’ve linked my entire outfit for y’all below!

We met up with one of our favorite couples to grab some Mexican food,
and i’m not going to lie…the whole time I kept thinking…
“Omg this could be our last date night before Hayes gets here”
I’m sure y’all are getting sick of all of this pregnancy and baby talk.
SORRY, it’s kind of consuming my life.
Have no fear though, Once Hayes is here there will be a lot more fashion + exercise + lifestyle posts,
and that’s going to happen sometime within the next two weeks so hang in there with me y’all!!
{PLEASE let me know what kind of posts are your favorite, it’s seriously SO helpful.}

Snapped this selfie before dinner.

Kyle is actually off work today so I’m off to go spend some time with him!
Hope everyone has a great Monday!!

Weekend Recap – Showering the bride + OOTD

Y’all, the third trimester exhaustion is hitting H A R D…
I took a bath Saturday morning, stood up & dried myself off…
and was literally SO exhausted from drying myself off that I immediately got in bed and took a nap.
Holy smokes the third trimester sure doesn’t joke around!!!

Other than being lazy and tired this weekend, I got to celebrate my beautiful (soon to be) sister in law!
We showered this babe on Sunday and I couldn’t be happier to “officially” have her join our family,
even though she’s pretty much been part of the family for years now!

Could she be any cuter?!
After the shower we all came back to our house to relax and hang out.
It was a perfect day spent with family!

Hope y’all have a great Monday!!

The weather was gorgeous in Houston this Saturday so Kyle and I decided to brunch it up.
We went to a cute little place near our house called Dekker’s where the portions are massive & so damn good!

Their french toast is topped with cinnamon toast crunch and I just drooled on myself a little thinking about it. So if you live in the Katy/Richmond/Fulshear area make sure you GO, their food is delish.

After brunch we headed back to the house to do some projects for Hayes’s nursery,
and when I say “we” I mean Kyle…Charley and I sat and watched lol
I haven’t exactly started “nesting” yet but I’m definitely craving organization!!
So Kyle is building some shelves/storage for the nursery closet because it’s currently an utter disaster. I’m so pumped to start getting all of his little clothes and shoes neat and organized in there.
We have our very last ultrasound this Friday and I am so anxious to see how much he’s grown.
We haven’t gotten to see him since I was 20 weeks so hopefully he cooperates and we get some good photos of his sweet little face! It still completely blows my mind that I’ve got a little boy in my belly.
Shout out to Jesus that we’ve made it this far, pregnancy really is the craziest most amazing experience,
like I could talk about it forever…but i’ll spare y’all lol

That’s it for today, thanks so much for stopping by!!

We had a birthday party to attend across town on Saturday,
the party was from 11-2 but we ended up staying until about 7:30!
Our sweet friends little boy was celebrating his 3rd birthday and he ended up choosing
a “bacon themed party” which was actually so stinkin’ cute!!
We ended up staying late and talking to our friends about parenthood,
goodness our lives are about to change tremendously, for the better of course!!
We didn’t end up getting home until close to 9pm which is pretty much my bed time.
This third trimester came in HOT and I’m already feeling heavy and exhausted and having a hard
time sleeping through the night…BUT I know all of these little aches and pains will be SO DANG worth it once our little guy is here, can’t believe we’re only 12 weeks away from meeting him!!

Anyways, I’ve got some fun blog posts to share with y’all this week!!
So make sure you come back and say hi!
Happy Monday Y’all.

A little San Diego babymoon

Kyle and I just got home late last night from San Diego!
We took a little time to ourselves and headed to California for a long weekend of babymooning.
I’m actually really surprised at how many people have NEVER heard of the term “babymoon”!
Well, if you’re one of those people, it’s one last vacation before baby comes!

We spent a ton of time outside and did a TON of walking.
Needless to say, this mama is T I R E D.
I hit the 27 week mark on Sunday, and of course had to document with a selfie.

We arrived in San Diego Friday afternoon and did a little exploring.
On Saturday we woke up early and headed to La Jolla!
We had breakfast at The Mission Restaurant and holy crap it was UH MAZING.

We pretty much carb loaded the entire trip and I’m definitely not mad about it.
After breakfast we headed to the beach to check out the seals and see what La Jolla was all about!
La Jolla was definitely our favorite spot, I think we actually went there every single day of our trip,
Even if it was just to walk around a bit, or watch the sunset.

The weather was phenomenal, like we expected.
We definitely weren’t missing the Houston humidity!
We both just wanted to be outside all day every day that we were there.
We hit up the San Diego Zoo on Sunday which was SO awesome!
I’ll share more about that with y’all later this week!
Happy Tuesday friends.
