Happy Wednesday!
So, I really want to make sure I share ALL of the cute maternity brands with y’all while I still can.
It’s a little ridiculous how many people have negative views on maternity wear and try to avoid buying it,
but I’m tellin’ ya…THOSE PEOPLE ARE WRONG.
It is 100% possible to be pregnant and wear trendy clothing that’s also super comfy for your bump.
I mean, I feel like I’ve made that pretty clear in the last 8 months or so. Right??
Today I want to share Kimi and Kai Maternity with y’all and ALSO give you a chance to win ANY item of your choice from their website!!
We’ve teamed up so I can share some of their amazing pieces and also do a giveaway.
I’m going to be sharing my top 3 favorite looks from their website here on the blog today.
If you want a chance to win something off their site make sure you head to my Instagram {HERE} and follow the rules to enter the giveaway!
I remember before I got pregnant I would daydream of precious moments like this…
So I’m currently soaking up every minute while I can.
It’s official, we are nearing the home stretch!!
I’m just a few days away from being 35 weeks and I am the type that likes to be totally prepared.
I’ve been wanting to get this post up for y’all for a while now but I also wanted to make sure it was REALLY helpful and informative.
It took me so long to figure out what on earth to pack for myself.
This is my first baby and I really have no idea what to expect!
I reached out to a few friends of mine who recently had babies and also did a whole lot of
research and came across some great lists!
Honestly all of the lists/info was a little overwhelming and every list has something different!
So I’ve somewhat been putting this off…
Well, I finally just sat down last weekend and made a packing list for: 1. Myself 2. My Husband 3. and BABY!!
I’ll share each of our lists and include direct links to the items if possible!
WHAT’S IN MY HOSPITAL BAG!
Have these accessible in an outside pocket: 1. Chapstick/Gum (apparently your mouth gets super dry during labor) 2. Hair tie (you are not going to want your hair all up in your face during labor) 3. Phone Charger Clothing for me: (linking each item in order below this list, just scroll through to see all items)
1.Robe (this is the exact one that I’m bringing but I linked a cute one below as well) 2. Slippers// Flip flops for shower 3. Nursing bra/ Top/ Pads/ Silverette Cups 4. Sweatpants/Stretchy leggings 5. Sweater/Cardigan 6. Warm socks 7. Going home outfit — (I may just end up wearing my sweats but…) I’m thinking of packing some stretchy comfy jeans, a casual top that works for nursing & my converse or some type of comfy shoe!
Toiletries for me:
1. Makeup – I know myself, and know that there will be lots of photos being taken & I’ll want to look somewhat put together once he’s here! 2. Make up remover wipes 3. Hair Brush/ Hair Clip 4. Toothbrush/ Toothpaste/ Deodorant 5. Shower Essentials/ Lotion/ your own towel 6. Granny Panties/Pads/Depends Diapers — Y’all my diapers came in yesterday and I’m honestly PUMPED. 7. Glasses 8. ***BRING YOUR OWN PILLOW*** 9. Nursing pillow/Boppy 10. Breast pump/accessories (so they can teach you how to use it) ***EDIT***
Your hospital will most likely have a pump for you to use and apparently they’re better and stronger than the pump you’ll have at home! But DO bring yourself some nipple cream!!
Extras:
1. Camera – for better quality photos 2. SNACKS – this was on EVERY single list. 3. Baby book
WHAT’S IN MY HUSBANDS HOSPITAL BAG:
1. SNACKS – labor & delivery typically lasts a LONG time and your man is going to get hungry 2. Toiletries 3. Change of clothes 4. Pillow/Blanket 5. Flip flops for shower
WHAT’S IN HAYES’S HOSPITAL BAG: (Some hospitals provide you with a TON of things so you really may not need all of this stuff, but if you’re overly cautious and like to be overly prepared then you can follow my list!)
1. Car seat – obviously not actually in the bag… 2. Light blanket for car seat 3. Swaddling blankets 4. Hats/Mittens 5. Burp cloths 6. NB-3 month sleepers and onesies 7. Diapers (will most likely be provided) 8. Going home outfit
Okay, THAT’S IT!

This was a SUPER requested post so I hope it was as helpful as all of you were hoping!
Love y’all so much.
Today’s post is something I am SOSO excited about!
I don’t share too much “home decor” stuff on here or Instagram but I’ve been getting a lot of requests to share more home decor/lifestyle posts so I’m definitely going to start doing that for y’all.
and what better way to kick that off than with an AMAZING deal!?
I’ve teamed up with Photography.com to offer y’all an incredible buy 1 get 3 FREE deal!
{No, that gorgeous canvas photo doesn’t stay on our bed!! haha
I haven’t found the perfect spot for it yet so I figured I’d just set it here to show y’all how gorgeous it is}
Okay let’s talk about this deal…
If there’s one thing that’s essential to make any house feel more like home it’s beautiful photos that take you back to some of the best days of your life.
I have ALWAYS been obsessed with taking photos, making memories and having a photo to look back on has always been incredibly special and important to me.
I have been dying to create a “gallery wall” in our home but keep putting it off because the nursery has been priority lately!
Needless to say, I was absolutely thrilled when Photography.com reached out to me and wanted to send me one of their canvases and offer ALL OF YOU a deal that you just couldn’t resist.
So, If you’ve been wanting to create a gallery wall for your home like me – JUMP ON THIS deal.
When you use my link to buy one canvas you will get THREE FOR FREE!!! This is not a drill people.

I’m thinking of creating the gallery wall in our bedroom, I can’t wait to show y’all how it turns out!
Well guys, I’ve been wondering when this whole “nesting” itch would kick in and holy crap there was NO stopping me yesterday! I was on my hands and knees scrubbing baseboards and cleaning all kinds of random things around the house. If you follow me on Instagram I’m sure you saw my post about it…
Yes, I’m wearing knee pads…like I said…there was no stopping me.
I think it’s safe to say that our lives have officially been taken over by “preparing for baby”!
Weekends are spent working on//building things for the nursery and weekdays are being spent planning out hospital bags, reading up on baby sleep books, googling all kinds of ridiculous questions, and texting all the new mamas I know asking for ALL THE ADVICE.
{I finally have what I’m going to be packing in my hospital bag planned out –
and YES I’m going to be sharing it with y’all soon!}
This little boy is already taking over our world and he’s not even here yet – but I wouldn’t have it any other way! My body is definitely mad at me for all the work I did yesterday but I feel SO much better knowing that the house is nice and clean…and just a LITTLE bit more ready for Hayes’s arrival..
Which is honestly silly because I’m sure it will be a disaster again in a few days..and we’ve still got 5 weeks until baby boy shows up!
Oh well.
Kyle built an awesome book shelf for the nursery this weekend and I am SO pumped to decorate it.
He’s also building some shelves for the closet which will help a ton with keeping all of Hayes’s things nice and organized.
Everything is slowly coming together and he’ll be here before we know it!
Next up is my baby shower!!!!! I’m wearing this adorable little leopard dress I found for *super* cheap.
Can’t wait to show y’all!
Okay y’all, I’m totally aware that some of you are rolling your eyes at this post.
Mainly because I’ve never had a baby so you’re probably thinking…
“How the hell will you know what you’ll want to wear after you give birth?!”
BUT I’ve had friends have babies, and I’ve done A LOT of research.
With that being said, there’s not a doubt in my mind that the majority of the time I’ll be in my husbands sweatpants and a nasty grungy shirt with breast milk and spit up all over it.
I mean, I’m not an idiot guys…I know motherhood is not all rainbows and butterflies.
BUT I also know, that for me personally, I’m going to want a few items on hand that I can throw on that are still super comfortable, but will also make me feel a little more put together and pretty.
**So that’s what today’s post is all about – comfortable and CUTE items for the new mama who just wants to feel human again**
PS: I’m having my baby in the Spring, so most of these items are for Spring/Summer,
if you love this post and want me to do another one with Fall/Winter postpartum clothing items just leave me a comment letting me know!!
As far as tops go, loose and flowy will be your BFF.
I’m sharing some adorable options for every occasion – and almost all of them are nursing friendly!
1. When you’re chillin’ at home and want to be comfy & simple but have guests coming over
2. You have an event to be at and need something a little dressier
3. You have a family get together and want to be cute but still comfortable
4. You and your man have your very first date night
5. You gotta get to church and praise Jesus and ask him for some patience cause you haven’t slept in 6 weeks.
Now, bottoms are something that are going to take a little longer to fit…mainly jeans/shorts.
So I’m thinking leggings/joggers/sweats are going to be my main choice those first few weeks.
I mean, if I’m completely honest those first few weeks i’ll probably be wearing a diaper and Kyles sweatpants…
BUT I’m sharing some cute items for those days when ya need a little pick me up or have someone stopping by or actually need to leave the house for something and need to look more put together!!
Also including some great jeans/shorts options for when the baby weight starts coming off!
Let’s talk postpartum dresses…I feel like this would be the “easiest” thing as far as just throwing something on and trying to get out the door.
I’ve definitely got a few Tshirt dresses already in my cart and ready to be purchased.
A simple Tshirt dress paired with some comfy tennis shoes will most likely be my “go to” simple look.
However, I do have a few weddings to go too not long after baby is born so I’m including some nicer options as well!
I really really hope y’all actually enjoyed this post and felt like it was helpful and didn’t just roll your eyes the entire time.
I just know myself, and know that i’ll want to have some cute clothing options that will make me feel good no matter how exhausted I am.
So hopefully you were able to find some pieces that you love and can order for after baby arrives. I hope when you look at them hanging in your closet when you’re mid panic/breakdown you think of me and smile and say, damn – she was right!!! 😉 haha
