Brunchin’ Again.

Kyle and I LOVE to do brunch,

there are so many little places downtown that have amazing brunch

and we love trying out new restaurants.

Last Sunday we met up with Bryan & Skye for brunch and mimosas!

[my brother in law and his girlfriend]

We went to a place called Royal Oak Bar & Grill,

I had been there once with my girlfriends and all I remember was there amazing mimosas!

They come in pitchers and they have a few different flavors.

I decided to get blackberry this time around, and oh my word it was YUMMY.

Oh and in case you were wondering, the food is pretty delicious too.

After brunch we all headed back to our place and then headed off to the dog park!

These pups are seriously obsessed with each other.

It was a pretty great Sunday if you ask me.

I’m pretty excited about getting to see and spend time

with both of our families this weekend for Easter!

Sooooo on a different note.

I have gotten a few requests to do a “get ready with me” video.

Now, I’m not a makeup or hair professional. Hell, I can’t even apply eye shadow.

BUT, I will totally do this for y’all!!

My every day “look” is pretty simple and most of my products are cheap!

So keep an eye out for a video soon, possibly even THIS week…

like…maybe even tomorrow if y’all are really lucky! ;]

Happy Hump Day

xoxo, Monica

Sunday Brunch is always a good idea.

You know when you’re having one of “those days” and you hate all of your clothes,

and feel fat and ugly? Well girls, this shirt was MADE for those days.

Super comfy, and a super cute fit that doesn’t hug in any of the wrong places.

Kyle and I went to meet some old friends for a late lunch yesterday.

Kyle actually went to high school with both of them (who are now married)

and Chris went to college with us freshman year and we all became really great friends.

Yesterday was really the first time for me to actually meet his wife (Tara)

And now we’re both poor newlyweds with pretty much all of the same problems, ha!

We went to a little place downtown called Grafiti Kitchen & Bar.
I would definitely recommend it for any of my fellow Houstonians!

We stayed there for about 2 hours just talking and catching up.
Brunch dates might be one of my favorite kinds of dates,
the food is just about always delicious and you really can’t go wrong with a mimosa.

The weather here lately has been so gross, rainy, and muggy and basically just depressing.
But yesterday was beyond gorgeous!! Fingers crossed that we’ll keep having days like that!

Everyone say a little prayer for Kyle this morning,
today is his first day at his new job and apparently his boss isn’t the greatest of people.

Have a great day pretty girls!

xoxo, Monica

Sundays are for brunches with my 2 favorite girlfriends.

It started out with just us 3, and then turned into a group of 6.

Liz invited one of her friends to join, and Jenn’s old roommate happened

to be walking around downtown with her mom so they hopped over to say hi

and hang out as well!

obviously we had to snap a mirror pic before.

We had wayyyy too much fun…

and by “wayyyy” I mean we got there at noon and didn’t leave till 6:00….

We took about 800 pictures and these were the 2 that turned out decent…

Why does that always seem to happen?!

Well, it’s officially Monday and time to get back to work!

Hope you all have a wonderful week!!
