Season of Celebrating

Hello Lovers!

| Dress |

I’ve noticed I tend to do this thing, where I blog for a week,

and then you don’t hear from me for like two months…

SORRY BOUT THAT Y’ALL.

There has been SO much going on.

Kyle and I are moving into our new home next week!

We couldn’t be more excited.

SO many of my friends are getting engaged and married and it seems like

we have some sort of shower or party every single weekend,

which is definitely not a bad thing!

We’re going through a season of celebrating and I aint mad about it.

Kyles stepsister Taryn got married a couple weeks ago and it was so gorgeous.

The reception was at Moffit Oaks and it was basically every girls pinterest dream wedding.

The mother of the bride actually planned a flash mob for the reception and

it was a HUGE hit and seriously so cool.

This weekend I’ll be heading to the Hill Country for my sister in laws bachelorette weekend.

Her wedding is at the end of this month and it’s going to be so freaking perfect.

I’m still adjusting to life back at home.

Missing my salon friends SO much,

and missing that face to face interaction with my customers.

So there’s a little update for you all!

Happy Monday friends, hope this week treats you well!

A Birthday For The Books – Part 1

This post is WAY late —

but I guess that’s what happens when you’re trying to adult and also have 5 other hobbies.

My official birthday was May 16th but I decided to celebrate the weekend before
since it fell on a Monday!
And well, I ended up celebrating a TAD too hard and was home and passed out before midnight.
That’s what the birthday girl is supposed to do though right?
Get ridiculously drunk, have a great time and embarrass herself?
Because if so, I totally nailed it.

As most of you know, I’m the picture queen.

However, after 5 shots in a row, pictures were the last thing on my mind…

Let’s just say that this was one of the greatest nights that i’ll never remember.

Here’s to 27.

{come back tomorrow to see what I did on my actual birthday}

you REALLY don’t wanna miss it.

Sunday Celebrations

This Sunday was spent celebrating one of my very best friends engagements!!

Kyle and I spent the morning being lazy and then headed over to Claires parents place around 3.

As soon as I got there I was gifted with a VERY pleasant surprise.

She asked me to be her Matron of Honor and I could NOT be more excited!!

I love this girl with my whole heart, she has been SUCH a good friend to me,

and I’m so thankful to have her in my life!

The day was spent sipping on sangria and chatting with Claire’s closest friends and family.

26 Aint So Bad…

So, my birthday was Saturday and I’m officially a 26 year old…

26?!?! I feel like 25 was always a fun age to tell people..but 26?? Eesh!

Here’s a sneak preview of the outfit I wore, beyond obsessed.

The day started with some beautiful flowers, the sweetest card ever, and a yummy breakfast..

All thanks to my sweet husband.

We had a relaxing afternoon and headed over to Claire and Bretts place around 6.

Claire is my go to girl for hair and make up, she always makes me look fabulous,

and she’s my best friend so it kind of works out perfectly…

So I didn’t have time to do a real outfit photo shoot…which I’m SUPER bummed about,

because this is probably one of my absolute fav outfits i’ve ever worn.

But I do have lots of pics from the evening!!!

After getting ready we headed to Celtic Gardens in midtown to start the evening!

After a few drinks and lots of fried appetizers we decided to

head over to Petes Piano Bar downtown!

It was such an awesome night and I’m so glad I decided to do something!

I’m only going to be young and child free for so long, might as well enjoy it.

Celebrating NYE.

We actually got to Colorado ON New Years Eve.

Which means we had been driving all through the night and had gotten little to no sleep.

Which means all of us were basically dead.

We all took a little power nap and decided to go to this firework show/parade around 5:30.

Kyle and his cousin Corey were feeling bad (altitude sickness) so they stayed in.

We decided to walk to the “show” and once we finally got there it was over.

Talk about a bummer.

Since it was over we just decided to hop on a bus and head to a local causal bar.

Here is my COMPLETE last minute NYE outfit.

I had ordered a dress before we left and it didnt arrive in time for me to take it 🙁

So I literally threw random things in my suitcase and well this is what I came up with!

No jewelry or anything because I was rushed :(. hmph.

BUT I did grab an adorable coat and threw on a scarf, which made it all the better.

After about an hour at the bar we FINALLY convinced Kyle and Corey to come.

I was NOT going to let Kyle get away with not kissing me on NYE.

Once they got there we ALL started to get super tired…

We definitely made a huge mistake by starting our night out at 5:30 and not napping longer.

After the other boys got there we stayed about another hour..

Then we were ALL ready to go lay down..pretty sure it was around 9 or 10 at this time. Ha!

So Kyle and I cheated and took a “Happy New Year Kiss Photo” WAY before it was the new year.

Hey, sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do!

Half of us ended up leaving and half of us ended up staying.

We went back to our condo and all got in comfy clothes,

by the time we sat on the couch the other half of the group had already showed up!

So, I guess it wasn’t the most exciting NYE, but it sure was an AMAZING trip.

Can’t wait to share our first day of skiing with y’all tomorrow!

xoxo, Monica
