Christmas Eve 2015

The weather has been pretty much awful lately,

However a cold front FINALLY came through yesterday.

Over Christmas it was around 80 degrees, cloudy, and super humid…

Unfortunately that weather leads to crappy outfit pictures because lighting is kind of everything.

But hey, it’s better than nothin’!

Leggings: ChicWish

Booties: ShopMCE

Necklace: PreeBrulee

I die over these leggings.

They are THE softest material, and THE perfect amount of sparkle.

The photos above don’t really do them justice because of the lighting,

but this one does a pretty good job.

My sister, brother in law, Kyle and I hopped in the car on the morning of Christmas Eve

and all headed over to my parents house!

We got there around noon and snacked on all of moms delicious brunch foods,

got caught up in each others lives and then it was time for…

PREZZZEEENNTTZZZZZ.

I have to say, my sister won the award for most creative/accurate gift.

HA, definitely wasn’t expecting to unwrap the “shitfaced/poop swirl/shithead” emoji.

Does anyone know what this emoji really means anyways? or is it just all of the above?

My parents definitely outdid themselves this Christmas [as they always do]

But forget about the gifts, I’m most grateful for family and the time we get to spend together.

After gifts, we had some delicious lunch and then headed to church together.

It was a perfect day spent celebrating Jesus’ birthday.

Christmas Day 2014

I realize it’s January 1st and that I should probably be doing a New Year post,

butttt sorry things are a little delayed over here so bare with me!

On Christmas Day Kyle and I headed back on over to his Moms.

We all ate breakfast then opened presents.

After that we headed on over to Nanas to celebrate with the rest of the family!

Kyle’s family has A LOT of boys, and they’re a llllllll about golfing.

So while the boys played golf us girls ate, played games and laughed until we cried.

Me, Kyles Sister Michelle, and Kyles cousin Krissa.

(both their moms and nana played with us as well!)

I’m in love with Kyles family, I don’t think i’ve ever been bored around them.
After the boys finished golfing we all ate dinner then opened presents.
THEN we opened white elephant gifts which is always a good time.

After that we all laid around watching their old family videos.
Gosssssshhhhh Kyle was CUTE.
Makes me excited for when I’ve got a little Kyle running around one day ;]

I totally meant to post this yesterday but I’ve had a CRAZY few days.
We decided to go on a Colorado Ski trip totally last minute,
So Tuesday from 6 until wednesday around noon I was in a car.
That’s 18 hours y’all…

Don’t worry I’ll fill y’all in either Friday or next week.
Hope everyones having a great week and had a safe and wonderful NYE!

xoxo, Monica

The night before Christmas…kind of.

Sheesh, last week was busy!

On Tuesday Kyle and I headed to the other side of town to go out to dinner

with his WHOLE entire big family.

Kyle and I have been looking into buying a house and I found one online that I fell in love

with a couple nights before. So we contacted a realtor and decided to go check it out on our way!

Of course it looked A LOT bigger and better online, but it was still a pretty house,

not quite what we are looking for though.

After that, we dropped Charley off at her grandmas and then stopped by

our friends [Phil & Rachel] place who just had a baby!

He was such a doll, ugh seriously too cute for words.

After meeting Conlan we headed off to go “freshen up” for dinner!

We all went to a mexican restaurant and had a blast.

I LOVE it so much when everyone can get together, Kyle has a big/close family.

And I love that I’m so close with everyone as well.

<3

After dinner,

Kyle and I headed back to our house because the next day [Christmas Eve]

was being spent with my family!

You’ll get to hear alllllll about that tomorrow ;]
