This past Saturday Charley turned 2!

It feels like yesterday that Kyle brought her home and surprised me with her…

But then again I can’t even remember what I ever did without her.

We didn’t do anything too extravagant…because, well, she’s a dog.

Started the morning with a healthy breakfast because she’s been getting extra fluffy lately.

Then took her to her all time favorite place – The Dog Park of course.

After that we headed to Kyle’s cousins to watch the game…

Where Charley of course tagged along, she was MORE than thrilled because

there were lots of new toys to sniff and destroy.

I think it’s safe to say she had a wonderful birthday…

She ended the day by getting into the fireplace, which then led to a coal mustache.

So thankful for this pup <3

Movin’ and Groovin’

I don’t know about y’all, but I am NOT a fan of moving.

This past week or so has been a tad bit crrraaazzzyyyy!

Kyle and I officially started moving out of our home this past Saturday.

I was a little worried about the new house because it’s a bit smaller,

but so far I am in LOVE!!!!

It already feels so much cozier and more “homey” than the other one ever did.

To any of my readers with pups i’m sure you can relate to this….

Charley was SO nervous when we started packing the house up.

Poor babe thought we were going to leave her there by herself.

She would follow us around everywhere to make sure we didn’t forget her,

oh and then there’s this….

She’s much happier now that we are [somewhat] settled in the new house.

We are SO dang blessed to have family close by that were willing to help us move,

It definitely made the process less stressful and overwhelming and we couldn’t be more thankful!

Kyle and I are actually heading to the old house tonight to hopefully finish up

and grab EVERYthing else.

It’s amazing how much crap you have in your house, that you don’t even use or need.

We’ve slowlyyyyy started decorating the new house and i’m really loving it.

Here are a few pictures so far!

I think our dining area is my favorite little space so far.

I am obsessedddd with this table that Kyle built for us!

And I scored these beautiful chairs on sale on Wayfair.com.

I can’t wait to show y’all the rest of our place!!

The weather has been amazing the past few days so I have a feeling we might

not get much done this weekend, oh well,

gotta enjoy the beautiful weather while it’s here!!

Last night I went to a much needed happy hour with a couple girlfriends,

will share the outfit (love love love) I wore on tomorrows post!

Happy Thursday!

xoxo, Monica

Brunchin’ Again.

Kyle and I LOVE to do brunch,

there are so many little places downtown that have amazing brunch

and we love trying out new restaurants.

Last Sunday we met up with Bryan & Skye for brunch and mimosas!

[my brother in law and his girlfriend]

We went to a place called Royal Oak Bar & Grill,

I had been there once with my girlfriends and all I remember was there amazing mimosas!

They come in pitchers and they have a few different flavors.

I decided to get blackberry this time around, and oh my word it was YUMMY.

Oh and in case you were wondering, the food is pretty delicious too.

After brunch we all headed back to our place and then headed off to the dog park!

These pups are seriously obsessed with each other.

It was a pretty great Sunday if you ask me.

I’m pretty excited about getting to see and spend time

with both of our families this weekend for Easter!

Sooooo on a different note.

I have gotten a few requests to do a “get ready with me” video.

Now, I’m not a makeup or hair professional. Hell, I can’t even apply eye shadow.

BUT, I will totally do this for y’all!!

My every day “look” is pretty simple and most of my products are cheap!

So keep an eye out for a video soon, possibly even THIS week…

like…maybe even tomorrow if y’all are really lucky! ;]

Happy Hump Day

Kyle’s dad was in town again this weekend, so early Saturday morning

Kyle left to go play golf with him, his brother,  and (our) brother in law!

While he did that I was a good wife and cleaned up the house!

(Go me!)

Then I decided to be a good mother and take Charley to the dog park.

I was really only planning on being there for about an hour….

Until this guy started talking to me, and never stopped.

Don’t get me wrong he was really nice and we had a good convo!

He wasn’t creepy or flirting with me, just loved to talk…

Y’all…I was there for almost FIVE hours.

yes, 5.

Charley of course had the time of her life,

but sheesh I was so ready to go home and get out of the freezing wind and sit on my butt.

We finally left then I had to hurry and get ready to go to dinner with Kyle’s

dad and everyone else that was in town!

We were planning on going to dinner and all hanging out and doing something afterwards.

Well that didnt exactly happen.

After dinner everyone was SO tired.

All of us had been in the sun all day and I guess that just wore us out!

So we all went our separate ways and headed home.

Kyle and I spent the rest of the evening watching netflix,

We’re on season 4 of Homeland right now! Anyone else watching that?!

My first day of Nannying/Dog Walking went well yesterday!

The boy and pup are both sweethearts.

If you followed me on snapchat there’s a picture and video of Bentley the golden doodle!

He is too too cute!

I’m not going to lie though I was WORN OUT once I got home!

Adding something new to your schedule sure does take its toll on a girl.

Well I’m off to drink some coffee and get ready for the day,

Happy Tuesday Ladies!

xoxo, Monica

Mother/Daughter Park Day

The weather has been SO nice the past few days!

I’ve been taking full advantage and being outside as much as possible.

That’s one really awesome thing about being your own boss,

you can get up and take your dog to the park and enjoy the weather whenever you want!

There’s this HUGE park by our house that I love taking her too,

I love it because she can just run around off the leash and I don’t have to worry about cars driving by.

[I left the leash on in case I needed to grab her quickly for some reason]

Inside the massive park is an actual dog park!

After both of us ran around for a little while I decided to take her there since there

were a couple other dogs inside.

It didnt take long for her to find the biggest water/mud puddle and lay in it.

Such a stinker.

It’s seriously SO weird the think that we haven’t even had her for a whole year,

but I don’t remember what life was like without her.

It totally feels like we’ve always had her.

I’d say it was a successful mother/daughter day.

We were both worn out and ready for a nap.

Tomorrow I’m getting together with a few of my girlfriends for a MUCH

needed girls night! I’m way too excited about it.

Happy Hump Day y’all!
