What’s a weekend without a margarita?

This pretty little number is one of my new favorite outfits.

This watch is unbelievably stunning!!!

Wood watches are my all time favorite and this one I’m wearing is especially beautiful,

I had SUCH a hard time deciding between this one and the one with a teal face…

the teal one will definitely need to make it’s way to my jewelry collection soon!

You can find more beautiful wooden watches HERE

Weekends are my favorite.

Friday night Kyle and I had a little double date action with my best friend Claire and her fiancé Brett.

The night was flowing with margaritas and queso and boy oh boy do I live for nights like those.

Nothing makes me happier than knowing that one night of bad food isn’t going to ruin all of my progress.

Thank God for good friends and long weekends.

Happy Monday!

Slight Change in Plans…

Saturday was supposed to be a healthy + fitness day.

I signed up for a 5k foam glow run with all the girls in my family a while back,

and the race was Saturday evening, I was SO pumped about it!

I ate super healthy all day and was ready to have fun and run those 3 miles!

Then a storm decided to roll in…and the race got cancelled….

So Kyle and I met up with Tara and Jonathan for some drinks & queso.

So much for a healthy fitness day right?!

Kept it super casual for this double date night.

We ended up staying there for over 2 hours laughing our butts off!

Queso and margaritas are my ultimate weakness,

my body definitely wasn’t happy with me the next day!

BUT yesterday I started back at it with healthy eating and I’m feeling GOOD.

Happy Tuesday Everyone!

Our Valentines Day started out with some heart shaped pancakes, made by yours truly.

They were pretty delicious if I do say so myself.
The weather was so so pretty so we figured we’d take our girl to the park!

Kyle and I got to walk around, talking and enjoying the weather

while Charley got alllllll of her energy out!

I headed over to my parents that afternoon while Kyle did manly things,
My mom had fixed a pair of heels for me that I needed to pick up AND also
DVR’d the bachelor episode that I missed last week!
(such a crazy episode by the way!!!!)

Once I got home I started getting ready for our double date that evening!
We went to a restaurant called Saldivias South American Grill.
I had never heard of it but omg it was fantasticcccc!

Kyle and I got there before Liz and John and I was greeted with a rose.

Liz and John are one of our absolute favorite couples to double date with!

Liz and I have been friends since 6th grade and Kyle and John get along SO well.

I can’t believe her and I will be in Mexico in just a few days!!

I am way too excited about our girls trip!!

Kyle bought 5 boxes of girl scout cookies last week…

which means my whole “eating healthy” thing completely went down the drain.

Buttttt I’ve got a few more days to “get it together”

So I just need to steer clear of the Girl Scout Cookies!
[Lord help me]

Hope everyone had a wonderful Valentines Day Weekend!
Happy Monday!

xoxo, Monica

Double date nights are some of my favorite nights.

I love being at the age where pretty much all of my friends are in stable relationships,

and everyone just loves each other.

We managed to get a family mirror selfie before heading out.

We went to one of our favorite mexican restaurants downtown,

cyclone anayas. They are known for their margaritas and addicting queso.

Which means I always look 9 months pregnant after eating there.

The food was amazing and we had so much fun!

Claire and her Boyfriend (soon to be fiancé) just bought an amazing town home,

so we went to go see it after dinner!

That girl is seriously one of the best friends I’ve ever had, so thankful I met her in college!
