Happy Wednesday babes!

I’ve teamed up with the cutest boutique ever and ALL of you
can take 10% off your order with my code “Monica10” (valid for 30 days)!!!

Hope’s has so many cute items but one thing I just HAD to have was this plum laced up sweater.
I ended up getting the size medium because I wanted it to be more of an oversized fit,
and I knew I wanted to wear it off the shoulder!
This sweater comes in 3 different colors, and their items sell QUICK so don’t wait too long to order.

Sweater {take 10% off with code Monica10} // Jeans, cute option, cute option  // Shoes

So a “cold front” came in this week and it’s FINALLY below 90 degrees in Houston!!
*Shout out to Jesus*
Kyle and I took the pup for a walk late last night and it felt so dang nice.

Can’t wait to bust out the rest of my sweaters and favorite cozy pieces,
Fall is my F A V O R I T E.
We’re still kind of at that awkward stage in Houston where it’s cold in the mornings and at night,
but you’ll sweat your butt off if you try wearing a sweater in the middle of the day…

But hey i’m not complaining, Cooler weather is right around the corner!
{I hope}

Happy Hump Day!
(PS I’ve worked out every day this week, y’all would be so proud)

Okay, whatever call me an addict. I’m not ashamed.

This outfit is one of my all time favorites.

I’m not one to repeat outfits much, but this one is an exception.

I’ve never really been one to wear super fitted clothing,

Mainly because I have a very straight figure and fitted clothes just don’t do my body justice.

But thank God for the “wrap around ya waist” trend, because it changed my life.

Not only does it add a little flare to your outfit but it also creates the illusion that I’ve got some hips.

This trend can also be used to disguise any parts of your body

that you don’t necessarily want to show off.

Got a little extra pudge on that tummy? Covered. Got a saggy butt? Covered.

Trendy & body friendly? yes please.

I can’t believe it’s already Thursday, this week kind of flew by.

I’ve got a sweet friends baby shower to attend this Saturday

& then some family is in town so i’m sure we’ll be on the boat Sunday!

Don’t worry i’m gonna hit y’all with another outfit post tomorrow.

A new post 5 days in a row?!

Holy Crap y’all, things are getting serious.

Top: Tobi Jeans: Paige Denim via Nordstrom [similar] Heels: LuLus Necklace: LuLus

Y’all I totally forgot I had this top and found it while desperately

searching my closet for an outfit to wear yesterday…

Don’t you love finding hidden treasures in your own closet?!

It’s definitely supposed to be a crop top, but my torso is like 2 inches long, so hey…

a normal top it will be.

These jeans are a perfect example of a splurge item for me.

I was able to score these when they were on sale so they were just a little over $100,

but I totally wear them multiple times a week, ESPECIALLY come Fall.

I am not one to spend ridiculous amounts of money on 1 item of clothing.

Although i’m a huge fashion lover & own a boutique i’ve just never been all about

brand name anything.

I’d rather have 5 pairs of adorable & versatile heels than one pair of gorgeous heels that I can tell people are Jimmy Choo.

Now hey, don’t get me wrong!

No shame on you brand name gals, you do you boo.

Heck if I had the money maybe I would feel differently…

But right now, for me personally — it’s all about looking fabulous on a budget.

I have such a hard time following certain fashion bloggers,

I actually had to go through my instagram

and click the dreaded “unfollow” button on multiple of my favorite accounts.

WHY? you ask…

Well, Let me tell ya…

There’s really nothing worse than falling in love with an outfit you see –

only to click the link to the website and see that the adorable little shirt that you can’t wait to purchase costs $300…

oh and the jeans? $548.

Don’t even get me started on the shoes…

I could go on and on…

I’m a 27 year old small business owner —

I want to look & feel good.

I want my clothes to be well made.

I want to be trendy and unique and be able to showcase my personal style.

But I don’t have ridiculous amounts of money to drop.

Basically, to keep it simple for y’all.

I clicked unfollow because it was depressing, and I found myself continually disappointed.

Disappointed that I couldn’t afford that super cute top, or those gorgeous shoes.

SO, with that being said.

I really really hope that all you girls following me never feel that way.

I hope you can look at my outfits and be inspired by them and know that you can look

trendy and fabulous without spending crazy amounts of money.

There are so many amazing boutiques and shops out there that sell unique and beautiful clothing

at a G R E A T price.

hint hint – ShopMCE 😉

haha no but really…for those of you that think you need to have lots of money to stay on trend.

I’m here to prove you wrong!

And hopefully I can bring a smile to your face while doing so.

Happy Thursday Everyone!

Lately I’ve been drooling over high necklines…

and what girl doesn’t love a dress that twirls?!

Necklace [similar]

This dress is seriously so casual and comfy…but also fancy in a way.

That’s what i’m loving about high necklines, I feel like they instantly make your outfit a tad fancier.

And I mean, fancy is always a good thing.

I can’t even begin to explain how crazy my life has been lately…

BUT it’s a good kind of crazy!!!

xoxo, Monica

Sheesh I am WAY behind on blogging…

I guess that’s what happens when you have 2 businesses and 2 vacations coming up!

Life has totally gotten in the way but I’m not too mad about it because I can honestly

say that I LOVE my jobs.

Not this past weekend but the one before I had a mini photo shoot

for my boutique at my parents house!

This dress is on sale for $29 and also available in a pink color!!

After our little photoshoot I wiped off my makeup, threw on my swimsuit,

and we all enjoyed some family time by the pool.

<3 <3 <3

Hope everyone had a fun weekend!

Time for me to get back to work.

xoxo, Monica
