Kimi and Kai Maternity Picks + A GIVEAWAY

Happy Wednesday!
So, I really want to make sure I share ALL of the cute maternity brands with y’all while I still can.
It’s a little ridiculous how many people have negative views on maternity wear and try to avoid buying it,
but I’m tellin’ ya…THOSE PEOPLE ARE WRONG.
It is 100% possible to be pregnant and wear trendy clothing that’s also super comfy for your bump.

I mean, I feel like I’ve made that pretty clear in the last 8 months or so. Right??

Today I want to share Kimi and Kai Maternity with y’all and ALSO give you a chance to win ANY item of your choice from their website!!
We’ve teamed up so I can share some of their amazing pieces and also do a giveaway.

I’m going to be sharing my top 3 favorite looks from their website here on the blog today.
If you want a chance to win something off their site make sure you head to my Instagram {HERE} and follow the rules to enter the giveaway!

What’s in my hospital bag?? (also included husband & baby bag)

I remember before I got pregnant I would daydream of precious moments like this…
So I’m currently soaking up every minute while I can.

It’s official, we are nearing the home stretch!!
I’m just a few days away from being 35 weeks and I am the type that likes to be totally prepared.
I’ve been wanting to get this post up for y’all for a while now but I also wanted to make sure it was REALLY helpful and informative.

It took me so long to figure out what on earth to pack for myself.
This is my first baby and I really have no idea what to expect!
I reached out to a few friends of mine who recently had babies and also did a whole lot of
research and came across some great lists!

Honestly all of the lists/info was a little overwhelming and every list has something different!
So I’ve somewhat been putting this off…

Well, I finally just sat down last weekend and made a packing list for:
1. Myself
2. My Husband
3. and BABY!!

I’ll share each of our lists and include direct links to the items if possible!

WHAT’S IN MY HOSPITAL BAG!

Have these accessible in an outside pocket:
1. Chapstick/Gum (apparently your mouth gets super dry during labor)
2. Hair tie (you are not going to want your hair all up in your face during labor)
3. Phone Charger
Clothing for me: (linking each item in order below this list, just scroll through to see all items)
1.
Robe (this is the exact one that I’m bringing but I linked a cute one below as well)
2. Slippers// Flip flops for shower
3. Nursing bra/ Top/ Pads/ Silverette Cups
4. Sweatpants/Stretchy leggings
5. Sweater/Cardigan
6. Warm socks
7. Going home outfit — (I may just end up wearing my sweats but…)  I’m thinking of packing some stretchy comfy jeans, a casual top that works for nursing & my converse or some type of comfy shoe!

Toiletries for me:
1.
Makeup – I know myself, and know that there will be lots of photos being taken & I’ll want to look somewhat put together once he’s here!
2. Make up remover wipes
3. Hair Brush/ Hair Clip
4. Toothbrush/ Toothpaste/ Deodorant
5. Shower Essentials/ Lotion/ your own towel
6. Granny Panties/Pads/Depends Diapers — Y’all my diapers came in yesterday and I’m honestly PUMPED.
7. Glasses
8. ***BRING YOUR OWN PILLOW***
9. Nursing pillow/Boppy
10. Breast pump/accessories (so they can teach you how to use it)
***EDIT***
Your hospital will most likely have a pump for you to use and apparently they’re better and                                                           stronger than the pump you’ll have at home! But DO bring yourself some nipple cream!!

Extras:
1.
Camera – for better quality photos
2. SNACKS – this was on EVERY single list.
3. Baby book

WHAT’S IN MY HUSBANDS HOSPITAL BAG:

1. SNACKS – labor & delivery typically lasts a LONG time and your man is going to get hungry
2. Toiletries
3. Change of clothes
4. Pillow/Blanket
5. Flip flops for shower

WHAT’S IN HAYES’S HOSPITAL BAG:
(Some hospitals provide you with a TON of things so you really may not need all of this stuff, but if you’re overly cautious and like to be overly prepared then you can follow my list!)

1. Car seat – obviously not actually in the bag…
2. Light blanket for car seat
3. Swaddling blankets
4. Hats/Mittens
5. Burp cloths
6. NB-3 month sleepers and onesies
7. Diapers (will most likely be provided)
8. Going home outfit

Okay, THAT’S IT!
All you experienced mamas please feel free to comment and let me know if I’ve left anything out or included something that’s totally not necessary! And if you’re a new/soon to be mama please leave me a comment letting me know what you think/if this was helpful for you!!
And if you’re not a mama or soon to be mama but still over here reading this I LOVE YOU.
This was a SUPER requested post so I hope it was as helpful as all of you were hoping!
Love y’all so much.

Weekend Recap – Showering the bride + OOTD

Y’all, the third trimester exhaustion is hitting H A R D…
I took a bath Saturday morning, stood up & dried myself off…
and was literally SO exhausted from drying myself off that I immediately got in bed and took a nap.
Holy smokes the third trimester sure doesn’t joke around!!!

Other than being lazy and tired this weekend, I got to celebrate my beautiful (soon to be) sister in law!
We showered this babe on Sunday and I couldn’t be happier to “officially” have her join our family,
even though she’s pretty much been part of the family for years now!

Could she be any cuter?!
After the shower we all came back to our house to relax and hang out.
It was a perfect day spent with family!

Hope y’all have a great Monday!!

Tuesday Feels + an OOTD

Happy Tuesday friends!!
I actually wore this outfit on NYE but didn’t snap any pictures in it.
But it’s one of my favs, and every time I wear this shirt Kyle compliments me so I wanted to make sure I shared the cuteness with y’all! Oh and PS, this maternity top is also nursing friendly, SCORE.

These booties are my favorite & unfortunately sold out everywhere, but I linked about a bajillion options for y’all, if you just click that little arrow next to the images you can scroll through!

If I’m honest, the last few weeks have been rough.
So many people close to me are suffering and it’s absolutely heartbreaking.
Suffering the loss of a child, suffering the loss of a best friend, a mom, a pet, a broken relationship/marriage…the list goes on and on, and although I’m unbelievably grateful for my healthy/happy little family I can’t help but hurt & grieve for those around me.

Feeling extra thankful for a God who heals, comforts & gives us grace to handle difficult things when we need it. Feeling so blessed to have had a perfectly healthy pregnancy so far and feeling so lucky to have a husband who supports me and understands me and takes care of me and loves me through all these crazy pregnancy hormones. It’s never fun to watch the people around you and the people you love hurting, but it does make my heart happy to see them leaning on God and trusting Him in the midst of all the pain.

Saying extra prayers today for all those hurting!
Love y’all.

Weekend Recap // Cutest Overalls

In case you missed my Instagram post on Saturday – I shared the cutest maternity overalls EVER.
Snag a pair for yourself –> here

Linking my exact outfit below, and also sharing some similar/cute options below that!

The weather was gorgeous in Houston this Saturday so Kyle and I decided to brunch it up.
We went to a cute little place near our house called Dekker’s where the portions are massive & so damn good!

Their french toast is topped with cinnamon toast crunch and I just drooled on myself a little thinking about it. So if you live in the Katy/Richmond/Fulshear area make sure you GO, their food is delish.

After brunch we headed back to the house to do some projects for Hayes’s nursery,
and when I say “we” I mean Kyle…Charley and I sat and watched lol
I haven’t exactly started “nesting” yet but I’m definitely craving organization!!
So Kyle is building some shelves/storage for the nursery closet because it’s currently an utter disaster. I’m so pumped to start getting all of his little clothes and shoes neat and organized in there.
We have our very last ultrasound this Friday and I am so anxious to see how much he’s grown.
We haven’t gotten to see him since I was 20 weeks so hopefully he cooperates and we get some good photos of his sweet little face! It still completely blows my mind that I’ve got a little boy in my belly.
Shout out to Jesus that we’ve made it this far, pregnancy really is the craziest most amazing experience,
like I could talk about it forever…but i’ll spare y’all lol

That’s it for today, thanks so much for stopping by!!
