Monday Madness

Romper: ShopMCE Necklace: Forever21 Booties: Zara [similar]

It’s officially Monday y’all.
For all of you heading into work I hope it’s a good one!
Mondays are my day off…
and although I would prefer to be lounging around watching Gossip Girl,
I’m actually about to wash all the dishes and finish up the 8 loads of laundry we have.

BUT before I do all that I figured we could chat about Fridays outfit.
This little romper arrived in my shop sometime last week and I am SO in love.
The unique cactus print is ridiculously cute,
I’m all about unique prints that make people do a double take.
The ruffle detailing on the bottom just give it that extra flare that I LOVE.

I wore it with my favorite pair of booties for a more boho look,
but you could easily pair it with some sandals or gladiators to make it more casual..
or even a pair of wedges for a night time look!

Well, I’m off to get all of my wifely duties done…
one being buying groceries..
If anyone has any healthy and simple meal ideas PLEASE send them my way!

Holy crap, what better way to start the new year than with a HUGE announcement?!?!

I’M GOING TO HAVE MY OWN STOREFRONT!

I will be opening sometime in mid February and I am E.C.S.T.A.T.I.C.

If there’s one thing i’ve learned the past 2-3 years it’s that running your own business is TOUGH.

But you know what’s even more tough?

Working from your home, with no kids, and being at home all day every day, by yourself.

Yes, to some that sounds like a dream job.

Heck, it was MY dream job!

But I’ve come to realize that I am human and desperately need human interaction

throughout the day, and no social media DOES not count as human interaction.

This was NOT an easy decision by any means…

and I would say it didn’t happen overnight..but it actually kind of did.

Ever since bringing a few racks to this salon one weekend for a little pop up shop

i’ve been dying to have my own little space in there.

I talked to the manager that weekend and she mentioned that there MAY potentially be a space open

come April of 2016.

Which was perfect because that gave me plenty of time to think and save

and weigh out the pros and cons.

I was SO excited but after a while it was really starting to look like it was going to be impossible.

And then God showed up the morning of NYE, slapped me in the face,

and gave me a deal that I could NOT turn down.

So, I cried with joy, and I praised Him and I ran with it…

I signed a lease the very next day.

I am unbelievably grateful for this opportunity, Good Lord Almighty am I grateful.

Here’s to a year full of new adventures!

After we got settled in on Friday

we all got dressed and opened a bottle of champagne to kick off the celebration

of girls weekend!

I brought my selfie stick and I think it’s safe to say that Claire was THRILLED about it.

hahaha this may be my favorite picture of the entire weekend.

Our first stop was Boerne Wine Co.

We all did a little wine tasting and ate WAY too many of their “pallet cleansing” nuts…

Which were ridiculously delicious by the way. I totally wanted to throw a handful in my purse,

you know like “that one” grandma you have always does.

But I refrained.

Our next stop was The Dodging Duck…and boy oh boy did they have some good food.

I opted for one of their lighter options on the menu.

HA! Definitely wasn’t mad about this tower of nachos in front of me.
They were SO good.

It was definitely a fun night.
After eating we headed back to the house for some more girl time and a little swimming.

Make sure you come back tomorrow because I’m sharing my FAVORITE outfit!!
Seriously love love love it!

Happy Thursday Y’all!
Xoxo, Monica

One of Kyle’s best friends, Patric,  came to stay with us this weekend!

(he’s one of my best friends too)

Which actually worked out perfectly because he was able to help Kyle move

a bunch of stuff into the new house!

This weekend was super busy and super fun.

Patric got in on Friday and we all went out to dinner once Kyle was off work.

Had some margaritas and lots of great conversations!

Saturday Kyle and I headed over to the new house to pick up the keys

and meet the homeowner/landlord.

The house we’re moving into is smaller than the one we’re in now,

and has a totally different set up.

So pray for me this week that I am able to fix it up and make it feel like home!!

After checking out the house we left and went to meet some friends for brunch.

Brunch is always great if you ask me,

we all ended up staying for a few hours and catching up.

Skye had to leave to go work a wedding so me and the boys decided to go to the horse races!

It was a REALLY long and REALLY good day.

This week is going to be crazy busy for us since we’re moving!

Hopefully I’ll get a few more posts in this week!

Have a great day loves!

xoxo, Monica

This weekend was SO much fun!
Friday was one of my best friends (Jenn) birthdays,
we’ve been friends since 1st grade and I just love her to death.

A bunch of us all went out to dinner then walked over to Pete’s Piano Bar downtown.

Piano bars are my FAVORITE. Seriously, I could go every weekend.
We had so so so much fun, and stayed out wayyyy too late.
Kyle and I are old souls and used to going to bed before 10 every night.
[I know, I know, embarrassing] It was too fun to leave though!

If you follow me on snapchat I’m sure you saw a few embarrassing videos
of me and my girlfriends singing our hearts out.
[snapchat: monicaleeee]

But anyways, Saturday was another one of my best friends birthdays!
So we had one BUSY and FUN weekend!
I’ll share Saturdays events with y’all tomorrow ;]

Kyle and I MAY be moving out of our home in the next couple of weeks
so please keep us in your prayers!
Moving is always stressful, and as much as I’m ready to get out of this house
it’s also bittersweet because it was our first home together.

I will definitely keep y’all updated.
Happy Monday!

xoxo, Monica
