Easter 2015 Part I

Top: Target (similar)

Pants: ShopMCE

Shoes: LuLus

We spent the day celebrating Easter with my side of the family on Saturday.

We headed over to my parents around noon,

and of course I was greeted with an adorable Easter basket!

We spent the day chatting with loved ones [and meeting new babies]

and eating lots and lots of food of course!

and of course there are always a few photo shoots…

We had a fantastic afternoon [as always]

and after we left we ran by the house, grabbed Charley,

then headed to the other side of town where Kyles family was.

A bunch of our family/friends were having a crawfish boil so we headed straight over there!

It was a blast to say the least.

Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend!

Beach Day!

On Saturday Kyle and I packed Charley up and headed to the beach!

The weather was too perfect not to go.

[you can get the adorable sweater I’m wearing here]

[and this cute headband here]

Charley was THRILLED to say the least, I think this picture pretty much sums that up.

[if you’re a bird I’m a bird?]

It was super windy when we got there, Kyle and I were expecting it to be a little warmer,

but Charley didn’t seem to mind at all lol

We stayed for a few hours but then it started getting crowded and we hate having to tie Charley up,
so we headed on out!
I’m so so glad we got to go though!
Now I’m ready to get Charley into the snow, she would REALLY love the snow.

Hope all of you had a fantastic weekend, the weather was awesome for us,
hopefully it stays like this for a while!

Happy Monday!

Jeans: Kohls [similar]

Shoes: DSW [old]

Scarf: ShopMCE [black here]

I am SO in love with this top. I’ve only worn it twice and both times I’m always thinking,
“why on earth don’t I wear this more often?!”
It’s the perfect mix between casual and cute and it’s SUPER comfy.
And this scarf y’all…it’s one of my go to scarves when I need to accessorize or add a pop of color.
Unfortunately I’m sold out of red, but the black is equally as cute AND will go with any outfit!!

I’m kind of in shock that it’s only Tuesday…yesterday was SUCH a long day for me.
I also can’t believe there are only NINE more days until Christmas!!
Sheesh, that came quick! Too bad I still sweat when I go outside 🙁
Houston, get it together.

Until next time…
[which let’s be honest, could be tomorrow, or could be in 3 weeks]

Now, GO!

Last night I made Baked Potato Soup in the crock pot.

Holy YUM!

I was a little nervous about it but it turned out super good.

Thanks mom for hooking me up with this recipe! <3

It’s honestly the easiest recipe ever.

So here it is…

[how good does that look?]

Ingredients:
1 30oz. bag of frozen diced hash browns
1 32 oz box of chicken broth
1 can of cream of chicken soup (10 oz)
1 pkg. cream cheese (8 oz, not fat free)
3 oz bacon bits
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Put the potatoes in the crockpot. Add in the chicken broth, cream of chicken soup and half of the bacon bits. Add a pinch of salt and pepper.
Cook on low for 8 hours or until potatoes are tender.
An hour before serving, cut the cream cheese into small cubes. Place the cubes in the crock pot. Mix a few times throughout the hour before serving.
Once the cream cheese is completely mixed in, it’s ready to serve.
Top with cheddar cheese and some additional bacon bits

Y’all, this stuff was GOOD.

I made some garlic bread to go along with it and it was perfect.

Husband approved, puppy approved, and I definitely approved.

Make this tonight for your family and tell me what you think!

The week is almost over!

Have a wonderful Wednesday pretty girls.

Kyle and I were planning on having a night in on Friday…
Until my girlfriend Liz called and said a bunch of friends are going to dinner.
So our night in turned into a semi-late night out!

Nothing is better than a night out with my best girlfriends though.

Every time we hang out together my abs are always sore the next morning from laughter.
Which is actually really sad because that just proves what terrible shape I’m in…

BUT I have been trying to slowly improve that,
even with my diet!
I’ve been trying REALLY hard to start drinking green tea instead of coffee….
I feel guilty typing this because I’m actually drinking coffee right this second BUT
that’s only because I ran out of green tea, I’ll be buying more at the store today!

I’ve also always been one of those people that rarely eats breakfast,
but I’m kind of trying to reverse my eating schedule to how it’s supposed to be.
Big breakfast, medium lunch, small dinner.
oh, and healthy snacks in between of course!

I figure that’s a good start? Just gotta be consistent!

Well, time to go do some squats!
Happy Hump Day Y’all!
