A little weekend recap from your fav oompa loompa

Well, one week it’s snowing and the next I’m wearing this…
Totally aint mad about it though, ’cause this dress is THE cutest!

We’ve made it to week 29 and baby boy is getting h e a v y!
This Mama has already gained 24 lbs and I am 100% feeling it.
Thank God for cute maternity clothes and good makeup, they can really do wonders when you feel like a gassy oompa loompa 90% of the time.
And shout out to Jesus for ShopPinkBlush because they have totally SAVED me when it comes to cute clothing during pregnancy…I know I’ve said that 100 times, but I’m so serious.

Kyle and I had a pretty chill weekend at home.
Saturday was cold & rainy but we attempted to get some last minute Christmas shopping done.
And when I say “attempted”, I mean we went to like 5 stores and purchased nothing…
So we went to lunch instead lol

I’ve been on the hunt for a rocking chair for our nursery, but I’m having the hardest time ever
finding one that will fit in the room and not take up half of it!
I ended up ordering one yesterday after spending a full two days searching in stores and online,
so be praying that it works ’cause if not I MAY lose my mind.
If y’all know where I can find a good and SMALL rocker for baby boys nursery,
let me know please!! I want to have a back up plan in case this one doesn’t work out either.

Wellp, that’s all for today…
I’ve got about a million things to get done today.
Seriously can’t believe Christmas is just like 7 days away!!!

Happy Monday y’all!

We had a birthday party to attend across town on Saturday,
the party was from 11-2 but we ended up staying until about 7:30!
Our sweet friends little boy was celebrating his 3rd birthday and he ended up choosing
a “bacon themed party” which was actually so stinkin’ cute!!
We ended up staying late and talking to our friends about parenthood,
goodness our lives are about to change tremendously, for the better of course!!
We didn’t end up getting home until close to 9pm which is pretty much my bed time.
This third trimester came in HOT and I’m already feeling heavy and exhausted and having a hard
time sleeping through the night…BUT I know all of these little aches and pains will be SO DANG worth it once our little guy is here, can’t believe we’re only 12 weeks away from meeting him!!

Anyways, I’ve got some fun blog posts to share with y’all this week!!
So make sure you come back and say hi!
Happy Monday Y’all.

A little San Diego babymoon

Kyle and I just got home late last night from San Diego!
We took a little time to ourselves and headed to California for a long weekend of babymooning.
I’m actually really surprised at how many people have NEVER heard of the term “babymoon”!
Well, if you’re one of those people, it’s one last vacation before baby comes!

We spent a ton of time outside and did a TON of walking.
Needless to say, this mama is T I R E D.
I hit the 27 week mark on Sunday, and of course had to document with a selfie.

We arrived in San Diego Friday afternoon and did a little exploring.
On Saturday we woke up early and headed to La Jolla!
We had breakfast at The Mission Restaurant and holy crap it was UH MAZING.

We pretty much carb loaded the entire trip and I’m definitely not mad about it.
After breakfast we headed to the beach to check out the seals and see what La Jolla was all about!
La Jolla was definitely our favorite spot, I think we actually went there every single day of our trip,
Even if it was just to walk around a bit, or watch the sunset.

The weather was phenomenal, like we expected.
We definitely weren’t missing the Houston humidity!
We both just wanted to be outside all day every day that we were there.
We hit up the San Diego Zoo on Sunday which was SO awesome!
I’ll share more about that with y’all later this week!
Happy Tuesday friends.

Weekend Recap – OOTD

Sheesh how is it already Monday?!
We were pretty busy this weekend, so of course it feels like it was JUST Friday.
One of my very best friends had a cute little “I Do BBQ” on Saturday,
so Kyle and I hopped over there to celebrate for a few hours!
I actually ended up changing my top last minute,
but this is a super cute look as well – I’m a huge fan of mixing prints!!
Stripes and leopard print are always a big YES in my book.

The BBQ was at this adorable place called Spindletap Brewery,
If you’ve never been I HIGHLY recommend going!
I got super crazy and had a sip of champagne, haha!
It was so much fun seeing and catching up with everyone,
but it didn’t take long for my feet to start swelling and feel super uncomfortable.
This was the first and probably the last time I attempt to wear pumps while pregnant.

We got home around 6 and were totally ready for bed haha
This time change has got us all kinds of confused with how dark it’s been getting!
We worked on the nursery a lot on Sunday and I’m SO excited to share it with y’all.
I think I’m going to wait and do a big reveal on here once it’s completely finished,
but don’t worry you’ll see small glimpses every now and then on Insta stories!!

I’ve got a fun post for y’all tomorrow, sharing a new self tanner I’ve discovered!
So make sure you hop back over to say hi and check it out!!
Have a great Monday y’all!

These boots were made for walkin’…

Happy Monday Y’all!!
I have been DYNG to share this outfit with all of you.
If you follow me on Instagram you probably already saw the sneak peek that I posted yesterday!
I wore this outfit to one of my best friends 30th birthday outings on Saturday,
& I’m totally in love with everything about it.

Okay, let’s get down to business…
I scored this cropped sweater years ago but I linked a bunch of SUPER cute cropped
sweater options for y’all below! This fitted skirt is from ShopPinkBlush, and it’s
unbelievably soft and stretchy! Every item I’ve received from PinkBlush has seriously been so comfy!
The majority of my maternity clothing is from there, and I HIGHLY recommend ordering
from them if you haven’t already. They carry non maternity as well!

Anddddd, last but not least…THESE BOOTS THOUGH.
I received SO many messages when I posted these on Insta stories!
They are hands down the best OTK boots I have ever purchased,
and I can absolutely promise you that you WILL NOT regret ordering yourself a pair.
I wore them all night long and they do not fall whatsoever, and they are super comfortable.
My feet have been killing me since being pregnant and I am honestly SO shocked
to say that my feet felt great on Saturday night.
These boots were like totally/seriously/100% made for walkin’ y’all!
PS: Use code “INSTA14” for $30 off!!

Kyle’s cousin Krissa is one of my very best friends and she turns 30 this week!!
She’s going to be out of town this coming weekend so a bunch of us girls planned
a fun little girls night out for her to celebrate!
It was the first time I’ve actually been “out out” since being pregnant, and oh what an experience it was! haha. Can’t even begin to tell y’all the funny stares and judgmental looks that came my way.
At the end of the night I was standing outside waiting for Kyle to pick me up and
I even caught this girl taking a picture of me!! I noticed her and the group she was with pointing at us, I guess they’ve never seen a pregnant person out past 10pm before? *rolls eyes*
So awkward.
My sweet {and feisty} soon to be sister in law saw the girl do it and ran over and put her in her place.
Needless to say, this mama to be was a tad out of her element, and slightly uncomfortable.
BUT we had such a fun night and I would do it 100x over again for my babe Krissa!
Birthday girl and me are pictured below.

Is Thanksgiving next week already?!
I cannot believe it…time to start preparing and also get some Christmas shopping done!
